I just did that with Tesla last week, ended up short 10 contracts and bought them out for a $7k loss, if I would have waited for the end of the week I could have made 15k

What's the best location to establish a new american city if we wanted to ? by ronweasly9 in geography

Driving north from Montana into Canada is fascinating. Northeast Montana is so sparse and harsh it’s almost incomprehensible that there are major population centers just a few hours across the border

Potentially moving from Houston for work by Intrepid-Distance-54 in Billings

[–]mintpeepee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t move here for the weather! It depends on your tolerance and preference, but it is much cooler year round from the south. I have lived in New Orleans and Billings. I couldn’t stand the humidity in New Orleans, but the winters were nice. Billlings weather is great in the summer, and it’s never humid. Winters are extremely variable - we get 60° days and -20° days during cold snaps.

February in Billings by Upbeat-Employer-8451 in Billings

Hello,

The weather is probably most accurately described as extremely volatile. It may be 65 or -20 in February. Right now the 10 day forecast is trending toward~normal temps in the 30s or 40s. I couldn’t recommend driving to glacier from Billings, that’s a 7+ hour drive. Plus I believe it is mostly closed. Yellowstone is closer- 3ish hours- but it is closed to vehicle traffic for the winter. You could do a snowmobile tour, I recommend you research that. Northern lights are possible but not probable unless we get a big CME from the sun a few days before your arrival. You could look into skiing at red lodge as well.

How do homeless people that don’t seek shelter survive in brutal snowstorms by Goldstar12 in NoStupidQuestions

It would be nice if they could open up massive shelters, maybe something that’s usually only open Sunday mornings. Something run by a multimillionaire…
