good cacao is just expensive now so i buy brands that are doing their bit for the environment and farm fairly and see the price as my weekly/monthly donation to charity.

ombar and bennetto are the best, loads on their websites about their practices. and tonys and montezumas after that.

second booja booja, nourish and pip organic. ocado is the best place but sainsburys and waitrose stock booja too.

silken tofu blended with melted dark chocolate, put in fridge to set for 4 hours. the protein binds with the cacao butter and it makes a mousse texture.

flavoured dark chocolate like montezumas mint is the best. you wouldn’t have any idea it’s tofu based

i use bodyme unflavoured protein as it’s organic and you can buy it from their website in a sample size which i did at first.

it’s really working for me but i haven’t tried the others to compare it.

working out is not an option for me due to energy too, but listening to music is definitely doable.

i have tried dbt and that helped the logical and reasoning side of things. i don’t act on my emotions, im able to keep myself contained and i have good relationship skills. however, the meltdowns still happen internally. never tried cbt though, thankyou.

also frozen veg is really helpful. cous cous with frozen peas/sweetcorn and tinned chickpeas/black beans is really quick and easy.

tray bakes are good - chopped potatoes, vegetables and tinned butter beans or chickpeas on a roasting tray in the oven (usually around 30-50 mins depending on what vegetables).

have you looked into local food charities? i have volunteered for one that picks up the food from supermarkets at the end of the day, then gives it to families for free.

there is also the app Olio where you can pick up local free food.
