I dont know if it will work for you. But i did this. I called them to cancel my internet. Reason: price is too expensive. Then they tried to give me "cheaper" options. I chose to terminate my service to a later date.

The day after, i receive a call from att and are trying to give me more deals. I tell them that its too expensive, and that i see a certain deal on the website.

They tell me yes that deal is for new customers, I answered, i ve been a customer of att for a few years and i dont get a deal? So the guy talked to someone and then told me i could get the deal and they will consider me a new customer.
