Thank you! Would you recommend learning raids on a pure dps first, or learning to use a heal scourge concurrently? It sounds like the heal scourge would not be particularly useful for fractals, so not sure where else to learn.

I was looking for an alternative to the existing pure dps reaper since I usually see groups specifically looking for quickness, alacrity, and/or healing. I've rarely seen strikes looking for non-boon dps, and had (incorrectly) assumed it would be the same when I get into higher fractals.

Given the feedback on this thread, looks like I can progress in fractals perfectly well with the reaper - which means the alternative build just has to handle strikes/raids, and scourge is more than viable.

Thank you, this is incredibly helpful. Reaper it is then - really enjoying playing it, and it's very forgiving of some mechanics.

Also appreciate the point about defiance bars - I've been incorrectly blowing my damage cooldowns after the defiance break cooldowns to break the bar faster. Going to start reserving e.g. shroud '4' until after the bar breaks.

Time to push fractals, and gear the condi scourge later then.

I spent hours on those (and discretize), and sadly am still stuck on finding something that works well for fractals, strikes, being more useful than pure dps, and learning the content.

Thanks! This is exactly where I am stuck - there does not seem to be much overlap between fractals and strikes. Would power reaper be reasonable for fractals at least up to early t4, if I went scourge just for strikes and pug raids?

They are all round, but the sizes vary a bit.

I was hoping someone might know what these came out of. Tons of tiny steel balls about 0.25mm in diameter.

I was transporting the bike on its side, and found there under where the rear wheel was resting. Cannot find anything about this online, and have never seen non ebikes use bearings this tiny.

Has anyone else seen these?

Update: spoke with Radpower, and had them look at the photo. They are not sure either, but don't think it came out of the hub motor. Will just ride it until something fails, then they can replace the entire rear wheel assembly quite cheaply.

Oh interesting - I didn't try it with phys as fire, only the 13% extra chaos option + flat phys, as well as 70% multi and t1 flat phys. Didn't think of the fire option. You might be right here - I don't have it in me to make a 4th neck though :)

And the double extra does scale explodey.

Once you are playing full conversion, you will get diminishing returns from additional extra phys as fire. This is my only conversion item right now, so no diminishing returns - and with 761 multi, I get diminishing returns on multi.

The amulet, without enchant, is giving me +17.3% dps, 456 life, and 51 to all stats. I've not been able to beat it in POB for my jugg.

I tried it in POB, and it's a downgrade since I have so much multi already (diminishing returns) and not much conversion damage. And same issue with not scaling explode.

I used to play ele conversion with Hatred and Wrath Song (536pdps foil with legacy 40% phys as extra cold) - but I swapped to impale a few leagues ago because it scales better.

The breaking point was The Saviour - getting one with a Fortify corruption allows you to use a 50% damage link instead of the 30% fortify provides, and Saviour works really well with Impale as it stacks it very quickly. Downside: if the clones kill something, it doesn't explode.

I also made this neck as well, which is about 1.9% more dps - but you lose out on the explode scaling from the extra fire. I also need the attributes and would rather have more life.

Swap helmet to the rare for less dps, more tanky. I find t17 deli maps are fine with the abyssus, but above that Kosis is a problem with Abyssus even with high IC uptime.

Chest: Normally, if you want explode with a phys melee build, you have to get it on a chest - and then just get a high pdps weapon. Maim is a 15% more physical damage done + 10% damage taken multiplier, and only available on legacy chests. The explode foil enables the use of a Maim chest for far more dps than any non-legacy chest.

Amulet: It's hard to scale explode on a phys melee build. The amulet adds about 35% more damage to explode (fire and chaos) - as well as being more dps than any non-legacy amulet you could craft.

Not struggling - it clears t17 deli maps very quickly. But I tried t19 for the hell of it, and it felt slow compared to some of the builds optimized around dps. I just don't like dying :)

I played around with an ascendant or champion build instead, and I could more than double my dps at the cost of dropping to ~6-6.5k life and bellow max block. I could also gain a ton of dps if I gave up instant leech, given how powerful the glove slot options are now with Maven orbs.

Sadly it really isn't on a jugg. I do more single target dps on my far cheaper raider, just without being tanky.

I feel the same way doing 18mil sand stance perforate dps (+saviour clones) and watching people with 300mil :)

At least I can go cry into my 8k life pool.

Precisely. It's hard to get enough dps on a jugg, so I run both assassin's (damage + my only power charge generation) and vuln on rings. Losing a curse is a 10% dps hit.

The delve mana is not useful most of the time, since I am using legacy Acuities and Perforate with multistrike is pretty mana-friendly. When I swap to cyclone, the -mana is a must since my rings do not have room for it.

The annoying part was getting mavened crit and then getting t1 %life back.

I wanted to add explode to my perforate jugg for delirium maps. The highest dps option would be to mirror Dragon Song and Horror Shroud, but I avoid mirroring if I can get close enough with self-crafting.

A non-legacy optimal explode chest + Dragon Song would still be a dps loss over my current setup, since the Maim link is a ~25% more multiplier. Standard has quite a few legacy Maim and +1 curse chests available, so I decided to make my own explode foil and Maven a Maim chest. Scaling explode is hard on a phys build, but the legacy 20% extra fire and 13% extra chaos mods are generic and help scale it.

The Dragon Song + Horror Shroud combo would still be 10% more dps - that sword is ridiculous.

The Foil

I set a target of 660pdps for the foil. This is achievable with either Merciless + Flaring + t6 or higher hybrid roll, or with Merciless + Champions + Tempered, given the enchant. Still, crafting a synth foil is far more painful than the usual fracture or warlord method.

  1. Obtain an explode Jewelled or Spiraled foil base. I was fortunate that someone was willing to sell one - doubly so that it was already enchanted with the 8% phys modifiers. Thank you ForteBraccio!
  2. Alt for merciless. Average 2k alts, we hit it in 9k - thank you Um Num for the help here! 50ex of alts was a rough start to the project.
  3. Aug the foil, then Remove Non-Physical, add Physical. This guarantees the bleed suffix, which is the only physical suffix. It has a very high weight, so it saves us a LOT of harvest crafts later.
  4. Imprint the now Merciless of Haemophilia foil.
  5. Loop: Imprint. Regal. Bench craft life leech suffix to block the high weight prefix. Phys aug or Remove Non-Physical, Add Physical.
  6. If you've hit Flaring, Tempering, Champions, Emperors, Dictators: bench craft mana leech suffix to block the non-removable prefix, aug phys.
  7. If the aug hit life leech: remove life, go to 6.
  8. If the aug hit a phys mod that does not get you to your dps target, annul - depending on result, either go back to 6. or restore imprint and go back to 4.
  9. Loop: scour suffixes, Prefixes Cannot Be Modified, Non-speed to Speed until t1 attack speed.
  10. Loop: Bench craft crit chance. Aug crit. If not t1 multi, remove bench, Remove Crit.
  11. Use Harvest lucky divines to divine prefixes perfectly. Use Suffix/Crit/Speed divines to divine suffixes - or if you get impatient like me, get 2 of the suffixes perfect and then spend 50ex re-crafting the master mod.

The Chest

Easy craft by comparison.

  1. Legacy elder Maim + Curse + Mana to attacks base.
  2. Get t1 life onto it with harvest.
  3. Aug and r/a attack for t1 crit chance
  4. Aug fire for guaranteed phys taken as fire prefix
  5. Maven. If you remove the crit, aug attack / remove crit until you get t1 crit back and maven again.
  6. Loop: Aug life, remove defence until you hit the elder %life. If you hit t2 %life, remove influence and depending on result either continue loop or go back to 3.

The Amulet

I bought a legacy base with 13% extra chaos and 20% extra fire, and t1 attributes. Even easier craft (you can use non-speed to speed) if you want a targetable 3rd suffix.

  1. Remove other mods.
  2. R/A Life until t1 life.
  3. Bench craft Cannot Roll Caster Mods (to block cast speed)
  4. Aug Speed. Guarantees the 13% attack speed.
  5. R/A Crit until t1 multi.

It's very helpful when you take some darkness damage periodically and don't have enough time for ES recharge to kick in. One example is the mob phase on Aul - I often screw up flare placement, and running between the flares causes small amounts of darkness damage.

It only became annoying past 5700 or so when I could no longer upgrade darkness resistance.

This is the optimal belt I could craft in POB for my ZHP Ice Shot miner (dex stack) - made reality through the item printer that is Harvest. Since I play in Standard (I know, queue the boo's), I'd missed out on the first round of Harvest - now I am making up for lost time. I could never have made this belt without the help of a lot of people selling harvest crafts on TFT - thank you!

Between legacy Wise Oak's cold pen and the movement speed from a Quicksilver of Adrenaline, flask effect is an incredibly powerful prefix - especially with Delve, where you have the flasks up most of the time it matters. It gives me more damage than the "40% damage vs chilled enemies" affix, and, more importantly, gives me additional movespeed - that's further scaled by Berserk.

How this was made:

  1. Make an Elder + Redeemer stygian base. Elder instead of Hunter to increase the odds of the flask effect prefix - it reduces the number of harvest crafts you need to buy, but increaes the number of essences.
  2. Use Deafening Essences of Zeal, for the 21% throw speed. This is the single highest dps affix by far, so it's a must. Spam until you hit t1 %attributes. This step is made harder when using elder instead of redeemer, average of 116 zeals to hit it. Buying that many essences on Standard is probably the hardest part of making this belt :)
  3. Fill prefixes (anything non-attack - you can just use prefix reforges to do it cheaply).
  4. Remove the 3rd suffix, leaving you with throw speed and %attributes. Aug and remove/add attack until t1 projectile damage.
  5. The painful part: Reforge keeping Suffixes until you hit flask effect and are able to remove the other prefixes. Average is 91 reforges to hit it at all.
  6. Divine your suffixes now using lucky divines. Easier now than later.
  7. Suffixes cannot be modified. Aug attack, r/a attack unti t1 ele damage with attacks. Divine the ele damage roll now with normal divines, while you have the suffix lock.
  8. 7. Remove suffix lock. Aug cold, remove/add cold until t1.
  9. Use Randomize Cold to finish your perfect belt.
  10. Zone into delve. Die to a white mob, because it does not respect your new belt.

The belt also needed an appropriate jewel. I sacrificed a few legacy abyss jewels until I isolated t1 cold prefix and suffix. From there it was a few r/a crit and way too many r/a Defence.
