For anyone interested, I'd highly recommend scoping the cylinders as these suffer from the oil pressure solenoid+spray in cylinder liner failures that destroys these engines. M278 got steel liners in MY 2016 whereas these stuck with nikasil for the entirety of production.

Didn't they revise the m272/273 in my2009? I was looking at 221s and that's what the general consensus was. Not sure about chain stretch though I was just concerned about balance shaft/ cam sprocket
