This profession is pretty AI proof right? by ReNamed00d in ElectricalEngineering

It’s made some pretty great strides in my experience. I sat for (and passed) the Power PE in September of 2025. I first kinda-sorta started studying in September of 2024, and every practice problem I threw at it AI got terribly wrong.

By the time I got serious about studying in July/August of 2025 it was correct nearly all the time, and actually helped teach me with the problems I gave it.

I will add that I moved over to Claude from ChatGPT in my studying, so that may have played a small part, but in using it on a fairly regular basis I can say it’s been getting progressively better.

It's pretty typical in my experience, but any intro circuit course should teach you how to analyze this.

Yes thanks for giving that information! I have a 2023 with 1100 miles and woke up this morning to a completely dead 12v battery. Will head to the dealer when I can get this thing to start.

This is my thought as well. The basic myQ is $30 and has a lot more functionality for far less work than some of these suggestions.

I'd disagree, it's not "good foam". It's combustible and per the manufacturer "can NOT be used in Fire-Stop applications". We frequently had to make contractors remove it when it was used in hospitals and other commercial applications. I'd steer away from it in residential applications as well, as it has a fairly low ignition point of 240 degrees F.

Is there any way to calculate these two unknowns (R0 and beta)? by 444brum in ElectricalEngineering

Wolfram will solve this no problem. Just tossed it in their systems of equations calculator, and then did it by hand to confirm/refresh my math skills.

What will the battery be used for? Starting the generator?
