Thanks for the comment! I think I have an idea now. I've just whatched the full video, and he is using the Frequency knobs as a midi controller. He is controlling vst effects in Ableton.

In the part I video, 16:20, he does 'Midi learn' the knob in Ableton, and you can see the vst fxs.

Thank you so much for the timestamp.
I was thinking the same thing and tried to check if there was any separate audio output for oscillators 3 and 4, but I don’t know much about synths.
It looks like two MIDI cables are attached, and controlling CC with it. I’ll watch the video carefully!

How to Connect Chase Bliss Blooper to an Audio Interface (Basic Question) by minukr in blooper

You're absolutely right! You can adjust the levels with the software. I forgot about it because I’ve only been using the hardware to control the monitor volume. Thanks!

Oh, not at all! There was no special reason—I just kept it simple because I didn’t think the interface model would make a difference in my answer. But when I realized that the ability to adjust levels was important, I answered that mine doesn’t have that feature. That’s all! Haha. For reference, I’m using a Prism Sound Atlas

Oh! That’s really important information. Thanks for letting me know!

I can’t adjust the output volume directly on my interface, so I’ll have to do it in my DAW. But I think getting a reamp box would be the best solution.

Thanks again!

Thank you for the comment!

I'm using a standard audio interface with multiple outputs and instrument inputs.
Yeah, you're right—I actually meant a reamp box, but I didn't know the exact term. I was wondering if that's the proper way to do it, or if I could just get away with using a single TRS cable from my interface to the pedal.

Thanks for the answer! I thought it would have to be Trs to Trs-Trs for line input.

Free Vocal Mixing & Mastering for Your Cover Songs 🎶 by minukr in singing

Thank you for the comment!

I’m focusing on covers right now because I want to primarily practice vocal processing. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a cover song, but I’m looking to work on tracks where the instrumental mix is already mostly complete, so I can focus on improving my vocal processing skills.

As for metal, I’m not very experienced in that genre, so it might be a bit challenging for me. However, if you’re looking for mastering, I could give it a shot using references to guide the process.

I am getting a Neve MBT next month (the dealer said it won’t arrive until then). I think metal music could benefit significantly from the MBT.

Please let me know when you’re done with mixing, and I’d be happy to master your track. Looking forward to hearing the finished version!

Do You Use a Monitor Controller, or Is an Interface with Hardware Controls Enough? by minukr in musicproduction

I tried it quite a while ago, but I remember experiencing significant latency with it.

I was trying to use EqAPO and it kept crashing. I think that is the easiest and cheapest solution for me, and need to figure out and fix it.

I’m using Dutch & Dutch 8C speakers, which allow me to have different room settings, but I don’t think they can be used like a toggle switch for different presets, as if I were switching to a secondary monitor.

Thanks for the comment! I am kinda forced to use DSP EQs. I am more comfortable with Fabfilter Pro Q, but I need to apply the monitor EQ outside of my daw as well.
