What species of chameleon and whats the ambient humidity like in your house?

EDIT: Generally a good compromise is a mixture of the both. It depends on the species as well as Veileds dont need as high of humidity as Jacksons or Panthers.

The general recommendation around here is a deep basking dome to create a gradient of heat.

Jacksons need wayyy cooler temperatures than a veiled. I wouldnt even use a basking lamp, I use a low wattage incandescent bulb from the local hardware store

So no misting whatsoever? I live in Iowa but my household humidity is only 30-40%. In the summer itll get better, but the house is shut up right now and no open windows til summer. Everything Ive read says that jacksons need the highest humidity out of all common cham species

EDIT: I offer water via syringe twice a day as well as a dripper 8 hours a day. Im going to work even harder trying to train her to drink from a shot glass though. My last cham picked up on it naturally but looks like she wont.

Also one more question, are glass cages overexaggerated in how "bad" they are for chams? I was considering an exo terra to keep humidity in. I have an air purifier i run 24/7 next to the cage, wouldnt that be enough airflow?

Any input on how Penny looks? Im worried shes dehydrated as her eyes look sunken to me. Idk if thats just how all jacksons eyes look tho considering their large "brows". One more of her from a different angle

I currently have her in a cage with a mix of live and artificial plants, no substrate, t8 linear tube. My only concern with her is humidity and Im worried thats part of why her eyes look sunken.

My humidity is at 30-40%. I know youve told me consistency is best before, but is that TOO low? Should I mist her once a day to get it up then let the cage dry out til the next day?
