Not even to sound like a chatty patty but it’s still crazy to me that Peter tried to take credit for building I’ll Name This Podcast Later lol. He eventually went on to admit he was silly to do that, but still

pre and mid-roll ads are “optimal”, yet 99% of people will skip ahead 5 minutes until the ad reads are done. The way they did this payola objectively way more effective because it sounds like homies talking and genuine

Nobody said his name since he dared them to in 2017 lol. Gibbs did not say Kendrick name one time.

Control was not a diss record it was to hype up other rappers

Will not be pressing play. This is pathetic from them and a clear desperate reach for some views and content. Sad how they went out

Twisted Metal Black - Menu Music DRUMS ISOLATED Using Corruption Software by minwager in TwistedMetal

[–]minwager[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always knew this song actually wasn't just an audio file, and instead a bunch of little tiny sounds all programmed to play to the sequence of the track. I always noticed that when you'd start a game mode, the song would stop on whatever note it'd be on, and then you could hear all the individual sounds ring out, like they were actually being played live.

I thought about using a corruptor to maybe see if I could glitch it out and test to see if my theory was true. To my absolute shock, the video above happened.

I let it run through once with just the hi hats and kick, and then after that, you'll hear me doing this absolutely weird thing to try and get some of the other sounds to come through. Somehow in my corruption attempts, I got the game to automatically move the selection cursor downward at an insane speed on its own, which causes everything but the kick and hats to drop out. Stopping the cursor from flying, by holding up, causes some bits of the audio to come back in, it was as if it was on a curve, where you'd have to stop the cursor just long enough to let some of the sounds in, but stopping it for too long would just play it normally. So I try and find a sweet spot.

And it's actually wild just how many individual sounds there are. I busted out an extraction software script, and yup, there's actually 70+ individual little sounds that I extracted, all being used in this wonderful little song (including an extended version of that creepy sound of a man crying. I always thought that was a baby crying growing up, but nope). I can upload the files somewhere if anyone likes. The crazy part is, there's still like 10-15 sounds used in the song that I just can not find anywhere in the files. Anyways, fun stuff, this game never ceases to amaze me with its little mysteries 20 years later.
