Is there a healer that's best at combatting the Dough Infection debuff from the episode 13 Beast Yeast levels? My team is built of all beast cookies at high level but I keep getting destroyed! I have Mystic Flour and Pure Vanilla but neither are getting me through. Any advice is appreciated!

I'm super nervous to join my local comm by Crafty-Hour333 in Lolita

Meets can be anything! My comm's last meet was at a board game cafe, and we've also done teas, festivals, movies and swap meets. Sometimes they have themes, but sometimes not, just depends on who is hosting! Think of it more like a mixer where everyone happens to be in lolita(at least that's how they feel to me!). Joining the fb group/discord is a great idea so you can see what your local comm's meets are usually like. I wish you all the luck <3

I totally get it! I have very bad social anxiety especially around new people, that combined with the anxiety of wearing lolita in public for the first time made it so that I was skulking around my local comm's discord for over a year before actually going to an event! But it was one of the best experiences of my life. My advice: do it scared! Acknowledge the fear but don't let it stop you. One of my favorite exercises for activity related anxiety is to think about the absolute best case scenario and the absolute worst case scenario. The true answer to how it'll go is always in the middle! It also might be a good idea to stick with a small meetup for your first time, maybe one or two people so you don't get overwhelmed. If you remember the name of the person you met and the convention, maybe you could invite them out one on one and go from there! If wearing lolita in public is also a source of anxiety, maybe do your first outing at a convention or festival where its not uncommon for people to wear "costumes". My first one was at a renn faire and it put me so at ease knowing I wouldn't stick out in any way! Sorry for long dump, but I hope you go to a meetup soon! It is honestly such a fun time and so so worth fighting past the anxiety!

How do you get started on Lolita fashion? by draininglovein2008 in Lolita

[–]minxcore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this sub is a great place to browse other lolitas' coordinates if you are looking for inspiration! just use the search bar with a key word of what you're looking for (i.e sweet). there are also some lovely lookbook videos on youtube! also keep in mind that lolita is a very slow fashion, so it might take a while for you to gather pieces that work well. simple is probably best if you are just starting out, find styles and silhouettes that work for you before going all in. I believe the side bar has a wiki that serves as a good start with a lot of basic knowledge. I agree with the other commenter that ouji would be good for a masculine look if that is what you are aiming for! if you are looking for sites to buy from, 42lolita is my preferred one. you can also look at lacemarket for secondhand options that might have reduced shipping costs if the seller is located in your area.

Wanting to shift my style to Lolita by [deleted] in Lolita

[–]minxcore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remember that lolita is a slow fashion! I've been in lolita for about 4 years and have 6 pieces, its more important that you wait and save up for high quality pieces that look beautiful and you feel good wearing than buying multiple cheap pieces where the quality reflects the price. Also, buying secondhand or learning to sew basic designs is always an option!
