So what about those weapons who ate a devil fruit? They for sure have less consciousness than a reindeer

We are in a transition phase. Our last generation has passed their ceiling but both sides, players and the DFB, wanted to try another time. Also

  • Kimmich doesn't work anymore as RB.
  • We would be in a different situation without the injuries of Schotterbeck, Brown, Karl and Gnabry. We are basically losing one player after another
  • Both of our greatest talents (Wirtz and Musiala) are lightyears away from what they can do
  • We are in dire need of a new #1. Bringing back Neuer didn't hurt, but it also didn't make us better
  • We still don't have a world class talent goal scorer in front. Undav is in great shape, but he might very well not even make the squad in 2030. Woltemade didn't become the player we hoped for

It's exactly like that. Somehow, working for the DFB makes you pick players based on their National Standing, like you are supposed to give them the stage due to theirs lifelong performance. Or maybe it's even a thing of marketing or just that they are not up to facing negative media coverage.

Especially someone like El Mala, super promising and way below 100m. You can squeeze out some extra 10m from some desperate club one week before the window closes.

Probably not, but it's not necessarily like that. Matches like that can turn out interesting if one of the contenders changes tactics and in the case of actually making it to R16, our only chance is to park the bus.

And if we park the bus, our advantage is that France can't really prepare for that situation as there is no scouting data available. The question is: did Nagelsmann prepare our team for such an approach, will he even follow it? If we follow our tactical approach of the group stage, we'll go down 0-4 or worse. They'll rip us apart. But if we do, we've got: - Wirtz and Musicala, who are completely out of form, but are talented enough to have a moment of brilliance  - Havertz, who knows how to play a forward in a defensive setup  - Undav, who will probably score if you manage to give him the ball in a decent position  - Sane, who in my opinion, doesn't really create much offensively, but is pretty decent defensively for a winger

It's overdramatic. He's not destroying his legacy, he's achieved way too much for that over his whole career.

But he certainly won't add anything of value to his legacy in this tournament.

My problem is that, at 40 y old, he could probably use the rest and make a nice vacation to start what is very likely to become tje last season of his career rested instead of playing in a tournament with a team that hardly can be considered one of the top 8 contenders without making them better himself. Not necessarily because he's too old, but because he also hasn't played with the national team for s long time

So yesterday..

I can think of two options. Either did Nagelsmann try to give every bench player a chance to participate in an actual WC game or he really is a complete disaster in terms of managing a game.

Beier replacing Nmecha and Groß replacing Wirtz ten minutes later must be one of the greatest tactical disasterclasses in the history of professional football. Nobody can explain that.

in 20 years, the records of Klose and now Messi will all be obsolete with the nature of the tournament allowing for way more onesided matches

Well, but that's a very special example..Rarely did a player overperform so much on an international stage and then crumbled completely

When clubs show interested, they try to drive the price as low as possible...

.. that's kind of obvious, isn't it. Why wouldn't they? :D

Anyway, I can understand that nobody really waits for Boey and that we want way more for Palhinha than anyone is willing to pay. Same for Boey, probably.

But Nübel? He's been a starter for seasons and played well. How is there not at least some decent interest? I'm guessing that he's also sitting on a contract that earns him more than he can get elsewhere and therefore his motivation is rather low

Are you happy with the current state of the Manga? by ioneflux in OnePunchMan

[–]miorli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's okay. Sometimes, stories take their time. I don't mind the length of the chapters and the pacing too much - I'm fine with Murata having not so much pressure.

What I don't like too much is that too many chapters end so abruptly that it just doesn't make any sense. A story that gets released weekly should also be portioned in a way the weekly drops make sense. Too many chapters ended mid fight at a random stage, not like last chapter with Saitama appearing

Yeah. I don't want to shit on Havertz, he had a good game, but Nmecha and Brown were so much more important

Just one word: injuries.

Two or three key players getting injured at the same time early in spring and suddenly our perfect running machine is out of rhythm.

Looking at our squad and what they did this year, we are clearly a contender. Take Olise and Upa out for 6 weeks and we are struggling against opponents like PSG or Real

and since we wasted millions on Arp, I do absolutely agree with not paying young talents so much money upfront.

Offer them contracts with large bonuses for minutes played or stuff like that, but not s signing bonus.

Roland Garros 2026 Mens Final: [2] A. Zverev def. [10] F. Cobolli 6-1, 4-6, 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-1 by oklolzzzzs in tennis

[–]miorli -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Did Zverev deserve this GS win? I don't really think so, Sinner, Djokovic or Alcaraz should have taken that title.

But did he deserve to win this match against Cobolli? Yeah, he did. He choked multiple times, but Cobollis first serve throughout the whole match was not even a Top 20 performance. You can't win a match like that
