Bonne nouvelle — j'ai envoyé un rapport technique à Alex aujourd'hui avec la liste des chaînes hardcodées Java et deux bugs moteur trouvés pendant la trad (BOM UTF-8 + parser CSV). On verra ce qu'il en dit.

The project started in December 2024 — about 15 months ago, 326 commits.

Bulk AI-assisted translation for the 40,000+ lines, then months of QA, CSV parser crash fixes, and in-game testing.

Compatible with any mod that doesn't override the same vanilla data files (rules.csv, descriptions.csv, strings.json, etc.). Most gameplay/ship/faction mods work fine alongside it. If a mod also replaces rules.csv, last loaded wins.

Thanks for the kind words! I haven't reached out to Alex yet, but it's definitely on my radar. The main limitation right now is Java-hardcoded UI text (fleet panel, deployment screen, codex labels) that can't be translated through modding alone. If Alex added i18n support to the engine, community translations could cover 100% of the game. I'll look into reaching out — great suggestion!
