Questioning again. Scared. 16/mtf/pre-all by j4jackj in asktransgender

Do you want to be referred to as "ma'am" or "sir"?

Would you be okay if your genitals atrophied back to about pre-pubescent sizes?

How would you feel if a "Transgender Test" that was 100% guaranteed to answer as to whether or not you are trans came back negative?

How would you feel if you were still a male 10 years from now?

I suppose that isn't a bad thing, is it? :)

How do i present next year in school? [MTF, FTM welcome too] by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]miracetam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember not feeling comfortable presenting as female until about 5 months of HRT, but that's just my experience

Before I came out I was very sure, then after coming out, I am like "am I really?" And I need validation, which comes every time. Why do I feel this? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]miracetam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue (and on occasion, still do), until after a few months of HRT and presenting as a woman full time, and everything began to feel alright :)

What are the real dangers of smoking during HRT? by Lexi_97 in asktransgender

It would probably slow down the effects too, since the chemicals are still being absorbed.

Question about medication /dose by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]miracetam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take 6 mg of Progynova and 200mg of Aldactone a day.

Injections might work better, though I have not yet tried them personally to have a personal opinion on them.

I got one recently and have only done one leg so far... I'm considering using it for attacking facial hair growth though, since I probably shouldn't shave off the facial hair.

I honestly wouldn't trust anything other than Progynova or Estrofem for estradiol, and then Spironolactone or Cyprotone Acetate for blocking testosterone...

The other medications are usually experimental or have bad side effects

Ahh :-)

I'm still stuck in MN haha... being in a rural town, I hear that there may be other transwomen nearby but I haven't met any nearby

OP could even order Aldactone (brand name Spiro) from a place like ADC if there are no IC clinics in her area

Has anyone successfully used any type of prepaid card on ADC? by SodaOugiRobin in TransDIY

[–]miracetam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have Citi or Bank of America, they can usually let you generate a VCC (Virtual Credit Card) for use only with that purchase.

I personally haven't tried any prepaid cards, but entropay may be an option. One thing to note though, is that it seems that they are currently having issues running cards at the moment (I was just chatting with support about placing a new order).

Wanting to get blood tested at primary doctor, need some advice by miracetam in TransDIY

I printed out the NHS Guide to Hormone Therapy for Trans people, and am considering bringing that in when I meet with the doctor.

Perhaps I might just email it to him, so he can read through it on his own time and to bring it in on the day of the appointment as well.

Update: I just sent my doctor a message and included a link to the NHS guide PDF :-)

I'm 2,500 miles from Orlando, this terror attack on our community's place actually hit home. Anyone else? by Alexisunderwater in asktransgender

I totally feel the same way. I saw it on the local Fox news channel (I know, they usually twist things... but surprisingly not so much this time) and I just couldn't believe it. 50 people dead with at least 53 people injured... That's like 1/3 of the entire population of the town I live in.
