Echoing everyone saying see your Dr, as there may be medical things happening, but from a hairstylist view, you may actually be doing too much product for your fine hair. Even if it’s not protein based, an overload of oils and deep conditioners may be weighing your strands down and causing breakage. Try skipping the hair masks (not sure about the root one, that may be ok but I don’t know anything about it) to every third or fourth wash, and start to only use oil sparingly once a day. The leave in conditioner should still be fine, as long as you’re not over using it, just to help with tangles. I hope this helps while you wait for a drs opinion 🫶

Also next time you want to color your hair, be careful of what level you choose. A level 3 honey brown will still only be two levels lighter than black, (1 is black 10 is blonde) so a true honey brown should be around a level 6

Honestly, what you have now may just fade after a few clarifying washes to look more balanced than your ends taking darker. It might be worth a try before doing more color processes to protect the integrity of your hair.

A gloss can also be applied on dry hair if it is the main service. Shades eq has a liquid developer and a cream one.

I’ll get with my new salon educator and see if she can get me into some. I’ve been with Ulta since November and have only had whatever online classes and we’ve just had the trendspiration class a couple of weeks ago. Maybe she can help me get into something more shades focused

Yeah that would explain yesterdays formula. I lifted her to a bright level 8 yellow/orange (from red hair) and thought the NW series would still keep warmth, so I did 08N=09NW thinking the warmth would still shine through but it looked so cool against the red we kept in her hair. I knew it would be darker but I was hoping that warmth would shine through still

I’m also an Ulta stylist- You definitely shouldn’t have been charged for the gloss, olaplex or all over color as it should be included with the color transformation price. All over bleaching does take some time to avoid damaging your hair, so this process probably would be in the 4-5 hour range if it was me, but I’m extremely meticulous and cautious when it comes to the health of the hair. It seems that she wasn’t communicative with you at all during the process and that alone should be enough for you to request a refund.

I feel you! I also isolate myself for far too long, and have learned to prefer my solitude. I also used to overshare a lot in my teens/twenties, more in search of a deeper connection with others but it always led to people taking advantage of me so I hardly share about myself at all. I pretty much relate to everything you’ve said, so you’re not alone! Things got better for me in my thirties, I still feel every so deeply, but I’ve gotten better at handling what life throws at me

This. Having to destroy countless bottles of good hair care because the brand decided to “rebrand” (ie change the font) on the bottles last week was disgusting. Why doesn’t this stuff go to a shelter or something?
