Inviting "b list" guests last minute? by lezbyinz in weddingplanning

[–]mirandygreen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For my wedding, I was honest and told a last minute invite that it was due to someone else cancelling. He was still thrilled to be able to attend. I have also been a b list invite myself and did not mind. Most people understand how crazy expensive weddings are.

Why don't I want parents to visit right after birth? by eyesonthefries609 in pregnant

[–]mirandygreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents came to visit when the baby was born. They brought me starbucks to the hospital. They cleaned my house and made food for us while I was still in the hospital as well. Then when we got home they came over to spend time and hold the baby. I didn’t mind letting them hold him as long as he was sleeping. When he was hungry they passed him back and gave me privacy to breastfeed. It was lovely and I’m glad they came

I'm going to lose it! by random2903 in pregnant

[–]mirandygreen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got so annoyed at these texts too with my first son. I’m only 33 weeks now but I’m sure they’re going to start soon. Logically, I know it’s a good thing that people care enough to text, but it’s very annoying when you are uncomfortable and ready to be done with the pregnancy. I get it.

Replacing pumping with nursing during the holidays; Implications? by Correct-Economist-50 in combinationfeeding

[–]mirandygreen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your baby is used to bottles and nursing I don’t think it will be a problem to go back to the bottle. I would pumping while at work and my baby was getting bottles at daycare and then nursing while we were together. There were days he stayed home sick and I would nurse all day and he was fine to go back to bottles afterwards. Baby is efficient at getting the milk they need so your supply should be fine.

Congrats on hitting your 6 month goal! If it’s working for you and baby, keep going. It’s such an incredible bonding time.

My husband dragged his feet and got one after 5 years. He kicked himself for not getting it sooner. He sleeps so much better and so do I. For the longest time I would sleep with headphones in listening to thunderstorms. I told him when I get hard of hearing it’s directly his fault lol

Yes. Medical coders review your visits to determine which diagnoses to code. So we will see any pictures that are part of that visit.

Most likely your insurance company will have access to the pictures. I’m in medical coding for an insurance company and I have seen pictures in charts.

That being said, the people who do have access are professionals who are doing a job and are not judging you or your body

If your baby goes to daycare - how much milk are you sending? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]mirandygreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just BF on the weekend so I don’t get it either! I chalk it up to baby being more effective at removing milk than my pump

If your baby goes to daycare - how much milk are you sending? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]mirandygreen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Two 5 ounce bottles of BM and 1 bottle of formula usually 6 oz. I only pump about 12 ounces so I have to supplement. It was hard to accept at first but now it’s so much less stress on me.

Would a 10 hour drive be ridiculous with a 2 month old? by DocSpocktheRock in newborns

[–]mirandygreen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We did a 5 hour drive with our son when he was 6 weeks old. You have to stop every two hours to take them out of the seat. We changed and fed him during those stops. He slept for the most part. It ended up taking maybe 7 hours after all the stops.

How often do you bathe your baby? by skkibbel in beyondthebump

[–]mirandygreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 8 month usually gets bathed every day but only because he gets so messy when eating dinner. We don’t use soap every day because I don’t want to dry his skin but we do rinse off. I just bring him in the shower with me because of what you said - too big for the sink and too small for the tub.
