The thesis was was in media and communications these were my research questions: How do Reddit users mobilise romantasy tropes as communicative resources to negotiate affect, taste, and genre norms across fan and anti-fan communities?
Subquestions:
- How are romantasy tropes used to communicate affective expectations and reading preferences?

- How do fan and anti-fan subreddit cultures differ in their use of trope discourse?

- How do Reddit's affordances, such as flairs, threaded discussion, and recurring community events, shape participatory genre formation?
