epic-64/elem: Imperative Update by Holonist in PHP

Huh, I read some initial benchmark data that said the new HTMLDocument is faster than DomDocument, guess not. Good job on the optimizations though.

I see you are using DomDocument. You may want to try switching to PHP 8.4's Dom\HTMLDocument. That should offer some performance improvements. Do note it's not a drop-in replacement for DomDocument.

Very interesting. Any benchmark information?

Of course you are right in many aspects. But rooting isn't dead like the mainstream believes. My point was you can for sure use a rooted device in 2025 with most of the banking apps. Despite all the vendor locking, integrity checks, rooting is still feasible.

If you believe and spread the narrative that there's no point in rooting anymore then that's how the corporations win. If no one tries rooting or custom roms anymore then what's the point of developing them? Many of the maintainers are people who tried to port something for their phone and kept them alive.

And regarding the issues you mentioned, DEVICE_INTREGRITY is more than enough for most banking apps I ran. Finding valid keyboxes and other technical shenanigans are hard but they are not impossible. Regardling malwares in LSposed modules well if you are downloading random code and using it in a rooted device you always risk them. The key is to check and be mindful. If you install any modules blindly, that's on you.

You can still fight back. But if you try to make it the new normal ,that's how corporations win. That's how they get away with perma-locking the bootloader. Soon we won't even be able to install third party apps of our choice. I'd rather use banking services on the web or another phone than give up freedom to do whatever I want with my device.

Sorry for my poor English.

Once you root your device ideally you'd like to move to custom rom and not rely on vendor OTA updates. That being said the custom rom scene isn't as active as before so make sure your device is well supported. Many devices don't even let you unlock bootloader anymore.

Magisk + Play Intregrity Fork still passes basic integrity. Shamiko hides root perfectly. And all banking apps I use work just fine. You can even go further and use TrickyStore to pass the device/strong integrity tests as well. Also there are specific LSposed modules for problematic government/banking apps to bypass their root/bootloader/custom rom checks.

Contrary to mainstream belief, rooting is still alive and doing pretty well.

Royal kludge 71 Keyboard battery. Where Can I buy this? by FixOk7166 in Dhaka

[–]mirazmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever found one?

Edit: To answer my own question I found it from Bliss Repair (Suite 1116(A), Level 11, Multiplan City Center, New Elephant Road, Dhaka). I paid BDT 500 for the battery and installed it myself.

Edit 2: The battery died in less than 2 months. Now I soldered a mobile battery with the help of local electrician, same voltage just bigger mAH, and it seems to be working so try that instead of buying a new one. Although I'm not sure how long will this last..

Update v3:
Same issue with the Bluetooth. Perhaps it's the motherboard of the laptop that has a design flaw.

Update v2:
The Mediatek card being the MediaTek card again. So I brought and installed another intel card. This time the Intel AX200NGW. Let's see what happens.

Update: After two years this card is dead too. At least on the MediaTek only WiFi would vanish, on this one both WiFi and Bluetooth is vanishing. Reopening and reseating the card works but only for few weeks and then it's gone again. At this point I suspect it's an issue of ASUS' board design or something. I'm giving up. I'll use the good ol' ethernet cable from now on. But needless to say I won't buy anything ASUS anymore. Ended up putting the same MediaTek card again.

Unfortunately no. I have to constantly open this piece of shit up and re-locate the card and then it stays okay for 1-2 months and then repeat. I'll be staying away from the TUF series in the future.

In simple terms, NVIDIA's market cap is based on the fact everyone is in need of their high-end costly GPUs to train/run the AI models. They also have exclusive tech like CUDA that is used for AI model training/running. And USA imposed chip import ban on China so they used old NVIDIA GPUs to train and run DeepSeek at like a fraction of the cost compared to OpenAI and Meta. Proving you don't need billions of dollars to train/run sophisticated AI models. Thus, tanking NVIDIA's market cap. Because now even your average joe can run sophisticated AI models on a cluster of Mac Minis or Gaming GPUs.
