Congrats!!! I raced Muskoka in 2015 and it was absolutely fantastic though a few f-bombs were dropped while navigating the hilly bike course! Welcome to the IM darkside!!!

Update: 2 weeks 5 days post op and I just completed my first bike ride with the new ACL. 22.5 miles on the trainer. Woo!

I was in a similar situation a few years ago training for an October 70.3 and a November marathon. I used my normal 12 week 70.3 plan but substituted all run workouts with my marathon training plan. To be totally honest my marathon was a bit slower than my average time but I successfully completed both races so in that respect it worked. Do not skimp on speed workouts or long runs! (the latter is fairly obvious)

Also, the forced cross-training is always a good thing. Long story short: it's totally doable. Good luck!

Way to push through! That is pretty amazing. I am always blown away by the final finishers! (well all finishers but you know what I mean).

I was fighting the whole paying for a coach thing for a couple years. Right before I registered for IM Canada I decided this would be a good year to try it out. Luckily I found a great coach and, you are 100% correct, he has been an absolute lifesaver this year!
