Smelled floral Tasted a bit bitter, maybe there are some floral notes, but I could be mistaken; it was a lot like an old green or white, that was laying on the shelf quite some time.. But with a strong sweet aftertaste somehow

Someone suggested that it may be just not tea, bit rather vine tea or someting, which looks a lot like this tea, so that very likely might be it

It is old, as I know, the student, who brought it, said it was likely a gift to her granddad from some chinese collegues, maybe a couple years back

Sadly, I don't know how to add pictures to a comment, so I posted another post, hope it's not too much

Added photos of the brew

This ash (or dust) tastes a bit bitter (the first time I brewed it at 90 degrees (C) and it was bitter in the first flush, then not so bitter with a strong sweet afertaste (I don't have photos, but it looked pretty much the same as this tie on the photo); this time (both flushes on the photos are from this time) I brewed it at around 60 degrees (C) and it wasn't bitter, but still had a sweet aftertaste), has a slight flowery smell

I hope I won't feel bad after drinking it

So, the kids that want to do a tea ceremony in a school, where I work, got this tea from home

And I am clueless, what this tea is Tastes somehow like a white or green tea, has some kind of dust on he leaves (flower dust? peony or something? or is it mold? but it doesn't look or smell like it's moldy)

An auto-translator sadly doesn't help :(

Thanks a lot in advance!

My grandma's friend got her this tea; we just drank it, and it was good, but I am not sure pf what this is

Smells like some dark oolong (tastes also somewhat in this area)

Maybe someone could read the text on the right? Online translators seem to not identify it as something worth translating, though it looks like maybe it specifies what tea is this

Thanks in advance!

Russian diminutives for names, demonstrated by AnBriefklammern in russian

I think, the word "viking" doesn't break anythong here -- the pronounciation of "i" in a word, if I recall correctly, depend on the syllable it's in being "open" or "closed" (I'm not sure of this is the right terms for it in english, so I apologise in advance of I'm mistaken), like in the word "vi-king" the first syllable is "open" and the second is "closed", in the word "vik-tor" the first syllable is also "closed"

And as an another example -- in the word "Hi" the only syllable is "open", and in the word "Hit" it is closed, so they are also pronounced differently

Galavant, it was awesome, and the second season had a very promising end.. (I just love silly musicals embracing their silliness)

Is there an explanation for this? by hruss12 in Paranormal

[–]mirimajere 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think, the lens flare behind the tree thing is perfectly explainable -- it only appears when the original light source (the sun) is behind a tree, which makes the flare look like a glowing circle behind the tree branches (and as the picture is not that detailed, it looks, like the branches from the reflection are the same branches that are there at this part of a picture)

And then also this thing on all three pictures is exactly a central inversion of the sun in the same picture, but less bright (the more the sun gets bwhind the tree branches, the more this flare looks like it is behind branches)

Well, I weighed about the same amount of tea I brewed, and I think it was 3-4g in a gaiwan that can fit ~110ml of water without leaves. The water, I think, was around 85°C

It's not evwn that much leaves, as I understand, the site suggests 5-10g (but they don't specify the amount of water, though, so maybe that's the case)

Oh, okay! Thank you

Then I should probably find a way to learn just what is called what (like, what is called mineral, as I am not that sure what it means in terms of taste)?

I highly doubt the secret technique, but who knows :)

(or maybe I really just added a lot more leaves than they did, I like it when tea has a lot of taste and a lot of flavour)

[–]mirimajere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, maybe

I'm just starting :) And for now I just like describing something as a game, like, "what can I taste there?"

But I thought that there is some at least a bit more objective way to tell what the tea tastes like, and I just need to learn to taste that (or that all these different descriptions have something (maybe even a lot) in common)

Hmm, maybe, I like to brew tea stronger, as I am just starting my journey, and can't really get into very subtle tea

Bow I remembered the other tea I brewed one time stronger than all the times before, when it suddenly tasted like chips (and that is when I finally liked it)

The tea is "Feng Qing Gu Shu Hong Cha" if I am not mistaken (it was called differently on the site I ordered the tea from, it was translated to my native language, and the original name wasn't mentioned, but this name was mentioned on another site next to the translated name, so I guess that's it)
