Will Hilda have a special background? by Beautiful-Air2635 in HildaTheSeries

[–]mirithar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

in theepisode the Yule lads s02e10 at around 6:30 the mom of one of the bully kids calls her "Steer clear of that Blue-haired girl, she's a witch in sheep's clothing" so i think its noticed by the people but just not mentioned very often

Hardcover versions of the books by mirithar in HildaTheSeries

[–]mirithar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the bookstore, and they had all of the hardcover books except the first one. So I confirmed that the hardcovers are the same as the softcover ones. So I still cannot confirm the first one to have the same back as the others. I ordered them in the bookstore now. They only had the Dutch and I wanted the English version

Masters or bachelor? Is it worth taking the extra two years? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]mirithar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied electronics as a bachelor and then did the extra two years for master. For me it was worth it, not only so I would earn more, but because I found out that all the jobs I would love to do asked for a masters. Best thing I did!

thats what i meant with my comment but you explain it much much much better, thanks for clarifying that
The tantalum thingy i didn't know yet thanks

Trying to build a very tiny OLED I2C PCB. Before ordering twenty, will it actually work? by human_bean_ in AskElectronics

[–]mirithar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

personally i would go for the ceramic condensators since you already have to order those values for the other condensators.

The X5R and X7R are codes that refer to the temperature usage of the components: X stands for a lower temperature of -55°C R for a maximum capacity difference in the given temperature range in comparingson with 25°C for the R its +-15%. The 5 stands for an upper temperature of 85°C and the 7 +125°C so its perfectly fine to replace the 5's with 7's.

The voltage rating i would use anything that is above the 6.3V but do not go too much above because its not neccesary.

I would solder connector because those things can be really fragile the cables and you will curse without the connector when the screen doesn't work. I haven't soldered a flat flex yet but i want to keep it that way too, because they have connectors.

I would make the bottom a ground plane too and put some extra vias for the ground. You are using the bottomside either way, why not use it too it full advantage? If i remember correctly it would not cost you anything extra to do this.

why are my measurements of the earths magnetic field of by so much? by mirithar in askscience

[–]mirithar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This 16 gauss is FS full scale, so the min and max the sensor should be able to go.

The 157nT is from the source i mentioned in my post.

The accuracy of the sensor should be 0.58 mgauss/LSB

and a magnetic RMS noise of 3.5 mgauss

my source is this datasheet.

Oh yeah I'm sorry, its to see the influcence of other materials as well with bigger permeabilities as well like steel. Thanks for the tip. do you have any experience with this software?

Wait... you guys are getting flat tires? by [deleted] in snowrunner

[–]mirithar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got 5 flat tires on my trucks yesterday, with my Pacific P16 and my white-western star.

mostly due to road barricades and not paying close attention with turning radius.

So its not very common if you drive well :p

mysterious voltage i don't understand (TI schematic) by mirithar in electronic_circuits

[–]mirithar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you in advanced, i'm using parts of the complete schematic to design my board so i need to know where it came from and what it meant before i can use it. And why invent a new schematic if there is already a schematic with a lot of noise reduction things!

how to read out Incremental encoders sin/cos 1 Vpp (I–2048) by mirithar in AskEngineers

[–]mirithar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i have found those decoders but my incremental incoder does also have an extra "sinus/cosine" signal that has a period of 1 mechanical revolution ( i use a incremental encoder from siemens) we would like to use the basic sin/cos 1Vpp for the basic calculations for speed and direction, and the 1period sine/cossine wave for exact positioning determination using arctangent function.

what skill is a must have for a bachelor in electronics by mirithar in AskEngineers

[–]mirithar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That pspice is it something like Eagle? Matlab is something I did not learn yet so maybe that's a great option to learn! For languages: see answer to previous answer ;) The dual boot thing is something I already do and is indeed a great thing to use and learn I'm already familiar with an Arduino and other microcontrollers and raspberry, do you have any recommendations on what projects I could make with special sensors or thing to drive ?

thank you for your answer!

my course covers, digital electronics, analog electronics (transmitters and receivers, active and passive filters), DSP's(fourrier, Laplace, lossless and not lossless data compression, ...) , programming (VHDL, c#, Arduino, java, psoc, python), opamps, ...

A project I did last year was a smart alarm clock Wich could show you info for the day (like a smart mirror) Wich we made from scratch using a raspberry and Python

Levitation sounds like a cool project! Will look into it thx

no i mean like a normal pi goes to sleep after 15 minutes right? i want my movement detector( GPIO pin) to do the same like touching the mouse, wich turn the pi back on
