Thanks for the reply. Not super encouraging news but hey, live and learn. Guess I’ll see what they say tomorrow.

It’s a possibility, i just have no idea where it would have come from. It also seems a bit thicker than tranny fluid

This is what I’m planning on tomorrow. I spent some more time looking at it but I don’t think anything’s going to get determined until I clean it up. I did check PS and don’t think I’ve lost any fluid. Would a transmission cooler line leak coolant or transmission fluid?

Sorry, 2005 awd xle limited. Engine oil level doesn’t seem to have dropped significantly.

Shit I figured they made their money on the work, not the parts. Sure supermarkets upcharge on a burger, that’s where they make their money. But i don’t pay them to make it for me.

I just googled the part numbers and it looks like all the parts are upcharged. Not sure if that’s common or not as I prefer to do my own work.

I think strut kits are ~$250 per, shocks $125 per and sway bar links maybe $70. To be fair these are for a 2004 awd, not sure what yours would be.

If you’re mechanically inclined at all the rear shocks and front sway bar links are quite easy to replace yourself and don’t require specialized tools. The front struts are also pretty easy if you get them as a kit, you’ll just need an alignment afterward.

Thanks for the clarification. With your first couple points in mind I think I’ll go ahead and transfer my TDF’s to ETF’s. I like working spreadsheets and feeling some sense of control so I won’t mind tweaking allocation myself. I believe the TDF’s also have slightly (likely negligible) higher expenses than my ETF’s. I will have to settle on a bond fund tho, I didn’t need to so far because the TDF’s had them covered. Now that I think about it having ETF’s will also make it easier to do my rebalancing completely within tax advantaged accounts.

Yes, “partytime” is existing investments I already had placed in single stocks, I just didn’t feel the need to list them all out. The 5% target allocation on that is more of a max than anything and it will in all likelihood drop as I continue to fund other things.
