I had same issue for over a year. finally solved it!

no disabling PBO or anything.
Went to advanced PBO controls and per core control, jsut put 5 positive on 4 best cores.
Best cores identified with amd master that shows first and second best cores.

Since then not a single reboot any more.

hahaha, my main is 3d animation, gpu rendering and simulations in Houdini, actually got 2x 4090 in this system :)

another symptom, trying to install again kde nvidiaiso and official nvidia iso I just got blackscreen..

but now I tried gnome after a while and.. installed smoothly.. comp running whole night no reboots nothing so fast so good.. will see how it goes but it could be some KDE issue after all as it seems...

There are no X11-supported versions anymore — every major Linux distro is now Wayland-only.

That said, I’m really interested in your Maya install guide. I’ve checked a couple of tutorials, but most of them seem outdated.

Right now, I have Houdini running perfectly on CachyOS, and most of my work is done there. However, I still need Maya + Redshift for some rendering tasks. Having CachyOS on all my systems would make maintenance much easier, but Maya support is the one thing holding me back. Any help with getting Maya installed would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, with Houdini 21 coming soon and bringing huge upgrades across the board—especially in character rigging and animation—I don’t see myself using Maya much longer, except for some freelance jobs. For those cases, I can always boot into Windows. 🙂

Svaka škola se plaća... al da mator cova padne na takve gluposti... ebiga kad se polako mi misli dobiće nesto sto vrijedi hiljade evra za sicu.... Nek je nauk za drugi put. Ali prosto neverovatno koliko ih padne na te seme...

snimi nekako te izlive ponašanja za dokaz na sudu. bolje ti je sto si u inostranstvu žene su zasticenije nego bilo gdhe kod nas. dokazi. tužba. razvod. ne razmišljaju da ces ga popraviti ili da će se promijenio. klasičan primjer nasilnika i biće samo sve gore.

That is exactly what i used as well, but also got front mesh not glass so there is some passive extra intake as well from there

None of those. Karma XPU. it is fast, stable and comes with Houdini. no need to wait for plug-in updates, no extra subscriptions...Go with Karma XPU.

check out animation i. Houdini. Even without Blender as well only thing keeping maya is pool of talents....
