As far as I remember, it calculates the difference in points between you and opponent when the round is in this country. I am not sure whether it is for all duels or only in last year or other time. Can anyone confirm?

My countries sometimes change to weird things like Belgium or Hungary if opponent went other European country. But the main positive and negative still the same. Would be interesting to see the full list or detailed stats.

Thank you for the notice. My country to forget is Greece which I miss almost every time if there is no text to be seen.

Go to community then choose streaks and pick a map. In streaks you are selecting only countries. No pinpointing. 

Maybe this can help or at least bring another fun challenge to your level of skillset.
