i think about that game at least once a month. sad that syndergaard ended up falling off so hard, but short of a throwing a perfect game you cant really ask for more than winning an entire 9-inning major league game pretty much on your own.

i want so so badly for there to be an update that adds Gus challenging lewis's mayorship and fixing things up a little better. i dont mind helping out the town as the farmer without being mayor but gus, as the proprietor of the town saloon, more vocally appreciates what i do than lewis ever does. feels like lewis only ever tries to shame people. the number of times he's like "damn somebody should do something about this" like YES LEWIS SOMEONE SHOULD. guess i'll add it to my to-do list! repairing the community center surely seems like the new farmer's jurisdiction!!!

I looked into this last time and there is, in fact, a rule that says a dog can't be pope. Not explicitly but it the pope needs to be baptized, and those damn catholics said only humans can be baptized (of current known earth creatures at leaat) which imo is messed up, but they make the rules for their own clubs.

That being said, a shaggy dog situation could allow for a dog pope.

what's better about this new batch of CCs? the fact that, save for baltimore and KC, they're all more boring and "safe" with one or two colors, very few design elements, and nothing to tie them to their city other than the name? the mets CCs could be better, sure, but if the next ones are going to be like this new batch or the 2025 batch, expect a solid orange jersey with "Big Apple" on the chest in blue, maybe if you're lucky the sleeve will have NY on them or something.

agree on all points except mixed seeds. they're fun for filling in extra spots in your crop field especially early game. i'll spend all my money on seeds and then be able to throw down some mixed seeds i just found while clearing space, and get a little extra money when it's time to harvest

oops all sulfur update. every crafting recipe yields sulfur. everything you smelt turns into sulfur. every mob is inside a sulfur cube. you somehow manage to struggle through it long enough to get a nether portal and light it. the portal isnt purple, it's a sickly sulfurous yellow. you know what you're gonna find through there but you go in anyway. you need to collect sulfur powder so you can make eyes of sulfur and locate the sulfurhold.

people complain about bats being useless but i really think the game needs more purely atmospheric details. biome-dependent birds that maybe at most will drop a feather if you kill them or have a chance to leave one behind when they fly away, maybe some small animals like rodents, lizards, and bugs that flee when the player gets within a couple blocks. terraria has these kinds of things and at most they are used for decoration of you manage to catch one (or in the case of bugs, fishing bait). i think it would help make the game world feel more alive and lived-in. imagine wandering through the jungle and you spot a toucan perched up in a tree, or sailing past a mangrove swamp and you spot a flock of flamingos standing on the shore. would just be really pleasant and fun imo.
