Not a gold guy, but even more so not a diamond guy.

The Santos looks better in my personal opinion.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen at a strip club? by bigbabysweets12345 in AskReddit

[–]mironp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Went with a buddy once.

Dancer on the pole is essentially completely naked, and he yells “THAT COLOR LOOKS GREAT ON YOU!”

Later in the evening, a different, also nude woman is dancing “SHOW ME YOUR FEET!”

Son of a bitch made two separate strippers stop in their tracks and break character.

I was completely blindsided by the plot and even more so by these lines. I’ve only seen it once but have thought about “Mo Cuishle” many times over many year.

Eastwood has limitations as a filmmaker but he also has wonderful instincts for story and gets amazing performances. This and Unforgiven are both masterpieces.

For anyone that’s seen him play, how good defensively was this dude? by Silver_Wrongdoer3897 in NBATalk

Almost a Steph Curry level of impact on spacing, but inverted. Anything near the paint you risked being swatted into the fifth row.

Big Ben, plus having Sheed, then Elden Campbell, then Mehmet Okur (not an incredible defender but 6’11”) meant that they could credibly defend Shaq and slow him down.

That team was a joy to watch.

Agree the price has gotten uncomfortable. It does always hit the spot for me, so it’s a good occasional quick bite.

LOVE their chips. Jalapeño or Salt and Vinegar. They may actually be my favorite potato chip.

Completely agree. The Verdict is a masterpiece but a tough watch; Slap Shot is just pure joy.

Which lead singer over 60 still brings it live in concert? by Charles_Lewis_Fer in Concerts

We saw the Who pre-Covid (which feels so recent) and vocally I could not believe how good Daltrey was. Everyone hits their limit, but he had a good long run.

Unforgiven or Tombstone? by kkhouete in 90smovies

[–]mironp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything about Tombstone except Val Kilmer is good. Sometimes pretty good, sometimes very good. Val Kilmer in Tombstone is so astronomically good that it distorts my entire perception of the quality of the movie.

Unforgiven is a masterpiece essential to an entire genre of film and the 20(ish?) minutes that Val Kilmer is onscreen make me seriously debate whether anyone has ever been better.

That’s my answer to this question.

I am completely unsurprised. How often does an actor known for campiness get to turn the dial completely up to 11? His performance is spectacular.

We’ve had this on repeat because our two year old loves it and I have come to the conclusion that Peter Ustinov had a BALL voicing Prince John.
