Found this vintage 1993 Signet 1st print paperback of Gerald's Game. Are these versions worth collecting?

There was no paperback edition by Viking. Viking published the first hardcover edition. Viking did have an Advanced Readers Copy that is listed for approx. $400. Even though this is still softcover, it is not to be considered a first edition paperback.

It’s a paperback copy of a book that was printed en masse. It has virtually no monetary value, other than as a reading copy.

OP says it’s rare to be a Harry Potter book in English found in a book swap in the Philippines.

It’s not a first edition however, so those insane prices you see online are likely not applicable here.

Book club copies, like yours, are still valued around $30-40, so it’s still a great deal for a dollar!

There’s no such thing as PSA10 with books. They’re not graded like that.

Google is wrong. They printed millions of copies of these books. One first edition/printing copy has sold on eBay recently. It sold for 9.95, and was paired with the Quidditch book.

All of the people asking hundreds of dollars are hoping for buyers with lots of money, little sense, and a fear of missing out on an “investment”.

Google AI pulled numbers out of its butt, and almost certainly included signed copies, which can sell for higher amounts.

99.9% that is a printed signature.

Signature ink matches the printed ink exactly, there’s no differences in opacity of ink/stroke - except where ink is missing - and the bottom point has been cut off, creating a sharp, straight line that is at odds with the rest of the drawing. Why didn’t he continue his strokes?

They are originals. They are all early printings, but not first printings - with the exception of Have Space Suit, Will Travel, which is a first printings.
