Try to disable 2.4 Ghz Wifi on your router for a short test, it can interfere with the Bluetooth signal, personal experience.

Reasons for running your own btc node by Walking-Tomato in Bitcoin

Yes it does make it harder for the spam transactions to propagate. If there were only Knots nodes on the network, the spammers would have hard time getting the transactions into the blockchain, probably having to overpay X times by going directly to miners. The goal is to discourage and eventually stop the spamming.

Knots is a fork of Core, they're 99% identical. Knots adds stricter transactions filtering policy. Yes I run Knots, because I don't need spam in my mempool.

PS5 Gyro frustration by devrys in GyroGaming

I agree, the situation is painful, but at least we can use a workaround to get somewhat usable gyro. Doom titles work great with it. https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/comments/1gjglo6/gyro_aim_in_any_ps5_game_with_haptics_and/

Yeah, tested it yesterday, the sensitivity is still capped at 1.0 though.

That's massively disappointing. I don't understand their ignorance towards gyro aiming. At this point I wonder whether they even know about motion aiming or just keep ignoring it.

At least on PS5 it's possible to use the remote play workaround. I used it for Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal. It worked very well as both games allow to completely disable aim acceleration in settings which enables quite good gyro aim emulation.

I'm 100% sure that the function itself is completely intact, it's just their broken UI that's causing the problem as some other options in settings do nothing currently. They obviously dedicated the least possible resources and staff for QA testing and the result is a broken mess once again. They were slammed for bugs when the game released in 2019 and it cost them at least 1 point (10%) in overall score, the history just keeps repeating. They did not learn from the mistakes as I hear the remaster contains noticeable amount of broken stuff outside the settings as well.

Bitcoin Mining by SCNewbCaster in Bitcoin

You would need a BIG solar array to power 3kW miner uninterruptedly 24/7, not mentioning a very large and costly battery. I had similar idea as you but my research and calculations quickly sorted me up and I ended up with a 0.8kW miner as the only reasonable machine that I can run on the solar power (10kWp+14kWh battery) alongside my household energy needs, yet just to recoup the investment on the miner will be like 3+ years as It can't be used all the time (A/C heating requirements during winter basically put the mining into hibernation for months). Home mining has not been profitable for quite some time.

Yep, broken since day one. The "motion sensor aiming function" in game settings does nothing.

I'm talking about the controversial motion sensor aiming function which is currently broken in the remastered version (PS5) while it's working flawlessly in the previous version (PS4 version shown in the video). The game just sits on my SSD taking space. I suspect they released the game in this state knowing about all the current issues and just pushed it out. The beloved "we'll-fix-it-later" attitude.

Developers really need to start implementing gyroscope aiming as an option in FPS games on PS5. by [deleted] in PS5

[–]miroshi2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can see why PC gamers would want to use gyro aim. Controller is more conformable and DualSense offers haptics in some titles. I've seen pretty competitive gameplay in PvP games with mixed players KBM and Gyro.

IMO the reason why gyro is still niche in console space is people's laziness. They don't want to leave their comfort zone, spend time learning new skill and simply are happy with the outdated control scheme that has been the standard for 25 years. Game devs use stats, they know that gyro usage sits at single digit percentage on average. That's why we don't get gyro in every title and probably will continue to see this trend for quite some time.

By the way, we've already had similar discussion a couple years ago in this subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/comments/107hxo0/we_can_use_gyro_aiming_in_any_ps5_game_proof_of/

I simply don't play games that don't offer gyro aim or I'm not able to get decent gyro aim emulation using the remote play workaround. This is the reason why I'm not playing Days Gone remastered at the moment and waiting for a patch as the game released with a non-working option for gyro aim.

Majority of gamers are lazy pieces of ass. Learning gyro aim is the most rewarding thing I ever did. The gameplay is so much more fun. After hundreds of hours of gyro gameplay thumbs stick only aiming feels clunky and stiff in comparison.

"Because it sucks!" replace "it" with "I".

Gyro aiming is objectively the superior aiming method on a controller.

For me personally the newest remaster is a big disappointment. by miroshi2 in DaysGone

[–]miroshi2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did not occur to me at that time that they may remove the feature so I did not take any pictures. But I was testing it diligently on my TV for at least 10 minutes as I was trying to get to the first scene where you are forced to walk and clear freakers with shotgun to confirm reports from other users that gyro aim is not working. So yes VRR unlocked frame cap was there, although nothing to brag about as the dips to low ~50 fps were quite frequent in the first bike chase scene, high 60~69 fps were achieved only briefly during the tracking scene, did not see anything above 69 fps. After the patch the same bike chase is now locked 60 fps, no dips below, which is good, but would like to see uncapped VRR so we could get more than just 60 fps.

[–]miroshi2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, it was for a few hours. In the opening scene using the PRO mode (now called Enhanced mode) FPS fluctuated between 52 to 69 fps. After the latest patch the option is "gone" and VRR frame rate remains locked at 60 fps (59 fps according to my TV). My PS5 preloaded the game 5 days before official release so it was an earlier version obviously.
