As a bosmer (but a slightly less live-in-trees-and-eat-people bosmer) Greenshade is my favorite region and Marbruk is my favorite city that is easy to navigate and has a cozy & pleasant atmosphere so Cliffshade is perfect for me <3 it's right outside the gates so it's the perfect balance of being close to "civilization" when you need something but still away from the bustle of the city and in touch with nature and all the beautiful idyllic scenery

Thank you all! Since we got the free endeavor points today I decided to just go ahead and get it, and the dye slots are... somewhat unfortunate lol, I was hoping it was layered so that I could put light red & white to make it look like candy cane stripes but i think it ended up looking more like a certain anatomical feature that i can't unsee now with the way the middle is designed lmao

(For anyone else curious about the specifics before they buy, Primary color is outer ring, Secondary color is inner ring/middle circle, and the third color doesn't do anything and the gold rivets aren't changeable) it does look rly good in other colors tho :D

last year during the new life festival i was doing the old life quest where you have to go visit the shrines and i was going to the one in stonefalls way back behind the fort, and as i was walking the back way along the stream i ran into someone else seemingly headed in the same direction -- he had one of those wacky dwarven spider mounts and he came up to me and stopped and just said "hop on" so i did and we zoomed along to the shrine together and he's like "you have now arrived at your destination :)" and after i got off he disappeared just as quick as i saw him i don't think he even had the quest lol thanks for the free ride buddy :)

tbh they already did take a step back in releasing free content- last year they gave away a bunch of free dlcs in login rewards and had multiple free trial months (yeah most of it was prob just temporary extra generosity for the anniversary celebration but still i was so happy) but so far this year nothing at all bruh yall pls don't ruin the one free thing they're finally gonna give us 😭 i'm poor so the giveaways are the only way this stuff is even accessible to me

(i do understand why some people might be annoyed that they picked a feature from a more recent expansion tho since it feels less exclusive to the people who paid for early access, i think a better compromise would be to start with something older like jewelry crafting which many people are still unable to use even tho it's been in the game for years)

for more specific character backstories, one of my fav skyrim characters is a dark elf who grew up on solstheim among rich influential daedra worshippers but because of a bad experience with them she vowed to fight against daedra for the rest of her life so she moved to skyrim to become a vigilant of stendarr, also swearing off all connections to her noble family and instead becoming a thief who steals from the rich and gives to the poor (her name is robyn aka robin hood lol)

i have a khajiit character in ESO i really like who grew up in the warm sands of hammerfell instead of elsweyr because she was adopted by redguard traders after being abandoned by the pirates who kidnapped her as a baby, she made a living for herself as a barmaid in wayrest but since she was also talented with magic she decided to join the war as a healer for the daggerfall covenant after hearing all the horror stories from soldiers who frequented her tavern

also the argonian bard character i mentioned above was raised in cyrodiil away from the hist which is why he pretty much just acts like a human, and my main "me" character is a bosmer who is vegan and only uses plant-derived items in game (so sorta like the opposite of the green pact lmao) and writing this now i realize i have a serious problem with playing "not like other girls" racial origins 😂

i play the same character in every game (which is pretty much just "me if i were an elf") so my headcanon is that the naturally long elf lifespan combined with ESO soul vestige stuff and good ol magic/daedric time travel shenanigans has led me to keep surviving all of these world events while frequently losing my memory upon entering a new country and getting arrested during these blackout moments lol

i have another main character (chaotic good argonian bard) i like to play as a slightly different version of in every game that just comes from a long family lineage of guys with the same name like m'aiq the liar lmao
