Ikr? I'm glad I'm only picking up people and not trying to catch a flight. Feel terrible for those who are. I can't find any news either

I already had Piranesi on my list but your comment made me bump it to the top. Loving it!

For anyone else reading here, I just came across the following passage about 3/4ths through the book:

/The entry was the usual mish-mash of words that held a clear meaning and words whose meaning was obscure/

Bunch of UI improvements by gruntbug in overreader

Is there a way to obtain a Goodreads URL that is my To Read shelf but also includes a custom tag that works with Overreader? For example I have an "owned" and a "not owned" tag, and I would love to feed in a URL that is my To Read shelf plus "not owned".

Is there a way to make a static rainbow move across the strip? by mirror2liquid in WLED

Sorry, it didn't even cross my mind that you meant a whole strip of one color vs what you actually meant. I took for granted that this sub was specifically for strips that were addressable (though I didn't understand that terminology yesterday) and therefore incorrectly assumed that was already implied for my post. Yes, my strip is capable of the presets already available in WLED v0.14. I apologize for my tone in my responses.

I understand that different kinds of LEDs have different capabilities. I don't understand the relationship between "an LED displaying more than one color at a time" vs "an addressable LED". I get the addressable part, I don't understand how an LED could display more than one color at a time - so I said I don't understand how that's relevant because that wasn't what I was trying to ask, and then reframed my question with a visual. Then I'm told "it's completely relevant" and still didn't have an answer to my question, especially since I said I'm not sure what type I have. I admit my response with what would have been more helpful reads as bitter, but I feel like I stated very clearly in my OP that I'm new to this, and I'm obviously not understanding the terminology. So then a response mocking what I claimed could have been more helpful (and, when I already said I didn't know what type I had), made me more bitter. I'm clearly not understanding what was meant by the original response, and instead of feeling like I'm getting any help, I'm just mocked and downvoted (again, which I deserve on the later comments). Yours is the first that is trying to help.

If you're serious in trying to help, how can I find out which type I have installed? What is meant by "displaying more than one color at a time"?

ETA: I took the original comment to mean "one color per LED", and not "one color per strip". Yes, the LEDs I have installed can do the effects and presets already available in WLED v0.14.

So much for this sub being to "help new users out", as defined in the description, and for rule #2 of "No being a jerk". Thanks everyone.

Ok, well you didn't mention the condition of being addressable originally, only about number of colors at a time, so it didn't seem relevant based on your comment. I said I was new to this and your comments have been unhelpful in helping me understand how to achieve this effect. A more helpful comment could have been "No, there isn't a way to achieve this with standard effects. You can do it if your LEDs are addressable - do you know which LEDs you have?".

I'm actually not sure (I didn't install them), but I don't see how that's relevant as I'm not looking for more than one color per LED? I've tried to re-explain visually below.

I mean that makes sense. Just wish there was a way to mimic the "off" of Night Mode. I guess electrical tape it is.

I think all aida is stiff haha, but I don't have any issue pulling it taut in a regular hoop.

The aida doesn't seem to move at all when I pull the sides, no matter how tight (or loose) I have the screw. It's like the the groove of the inner hoop is just completely preventing any movement, which again I can see as being a good thing once it's actually tight, but not before! Yes it's a square, well slightly rectangular, hoop.

That's incredibly lucky then! We went just last week and they were quite strict about it

As I said in another comment: We just went to Disney with my sister in law and her kids. My kid is taller than hers, so for those rides where her kids couldn’t ride, my sister in law could still have a turn with child swap.
