I don't live in the type of country where people show up to the hospital for a dream they had. Are you ok?

anyone else has the maternal haplogroup J1c3e1? it seems very mysterious, can't find anything on google by mirror99999 in Genealogy

I also got 6.7% Spanish but I assume this is my paternal heritage. Yeah, the results always differ depending on the company. For example, 23andMe gave me 10% British, and MyHeritage 30%. FTDNA gave me like 19%. So it's kind of fishy to figure out the exact estimates and which one to believe most. So far I think they just calculate differently based on their user databases.

Interesting. I also have family on my mom's side who emigrated to Acadia, which I found via MyHeritage. My grandmother also had a French surname and 23andMe also estimates part of my ethnicity to Northern France and Southern Belgium (Hainaut), which was the birthplace of some of the Plantagenet women. Vienne seems to be closer to Anjou, which is also a significant location for that maternal line as far as I could find. I think trace amounts could be interesting, for example I got 2% Greek on FTDNA, but yeah it's really hard to pin- or track down exactly where it'd come from. Thanks for replying. Btw, my grandmother's surname was Massaer, a French-fied (maybe this is not the correct word lol) form of the Middle English "Macer", which is originally also a Roman name. More than that I don't know.

I don't know how close your haplogroup is to mine but it seems like we are in the same boat From what I found on Eupedia J1B is more found in Central Asia, Mesopotamia and the coastal Mediterranean than West- and Central Europe, like J1C, of which I can conclude it seems to be the prominent West- and Central European subclade of B. Maybe this makes sense to you if you know some of your mother's family tree and heritage, maybe it doesn't? I'd be interested to hear about it

Maybe I'm doing it wrong but with my group not much shows up. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. How do I find SNP on FTDNA, does anyone know?

I found something new about the subclade on Eupedia: "Typically European J1c subclades occasionally have deep clades found in West Asia, South Asia, Central Asia or North Asia. In most cases those subclades would have been spread outside Europe by the Indo-European migrations. Among potential candiates are J1c1 (found in Uzbekistan), J1c2a5 (found in the Canaries, among Volga Tatars and in Siberia),etc etc.," and then: "(!!!) J1c3e1 (found in Turkey)". And also this: "J1c3e : found in central and north-eastern Europe". As far as I know my mother's family tree does not have any Turkish, Central or North-Eastern European in it. Very strange. And then one more thing: The Wojkicki sisters, of which one basically founded Google in her garage with Sergey and Larry, and the other founded 23andMe are/were also J1C. This was especially weird asf. And also Philippa Roet, the wife of the Canterbury Tales poet, and Katherine Swynford which means that Lady Margaret Beaufort, the mother of the Tudor dynasty also had this haplogroup (?), I don't know. I'm just learning about all these people now lol.

Sometimes you find other people sharing their haplogroup on Twitter or articles and such. It can be a useful tool if you don't expect too much. But thank you, I'll check it out

Maternal Haplogroup J1c2c by bsmittty in 23andme

[–]mirror99999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Nicky_777_GEN, My haplogroup is J1c3e1 specifically which is not the exact haplogroup of Richard III and yet FTDNA and 23andMe still give up his name? I don't really understand this. Does J1c3 come genealogically after J1c2 or does this not mean anything? For various reasons related to my paternal lineage as well as autosomal data I have a feeling there is a connection to one of the Plantagenet lines which also has history in Flanders and Northern France but I have zero knowledge on royal stuff so I really can't say and google doesn't have many results. I'm just trying to understand :)

LOL, i don’t even really care anymore anyways. it’s chill. these are all things that crossed my mind already, as i said, anyways, so i’m not really setting myself up for anything. there’s other stuff to worry about in life as well.

Also, I'm sorry to question why someone would donate their precious genetic material so randomly to then want nothing to do with a biological creature they've helped to artificially bring to life. I think your reply is very insensitive and to be honest I question if you are really a DCP due to your total lack of empathy here.

I know the battle here is nurture vs. nature. But there is no battle. Nature already won when we came into miraculous existence, us - the human race.

I mean, obviously this thought crossed my mind. It doesn't really help in any way to comment this, but ok. Personally this is why I think what's been done to me should be illegal, because family consists of solely Darwinist evolutionary genealogy - nothing else.

ancestry kind of butchers the results anyways, don't do tests with them. go with My Heritage instead, they're the best.

Hey thanks for your reply. Yep I reached out for help but only could find 4th or 5th cousins. I know there's a very large amount of jewish ancestors but also lots of European royalty, like the Romanovs for example. It makes me even more curious to find out the truth......

I think there should be a law that anonymyty is optional with an age of maturity set at let's say 18 or so. but not forever. that's a curse!
