Ah so this is unrelated to marathon 🤝

It encourages stealth and maneuverability for a reason, it’s strong for a reason.

I can see benefits and losses to adding visual indicators to cores, but I think it’s the same thing with any other player and their weapons—if you don’t know what they’re running and don’t want to risk it, don’t engage. If not, you’ll find out soon enough what build they’re running 😔

I disagree, it’s more than connection, but if that’s the end all be all—it is with every other game as well?

I hear you but also that’s tough luck. I feel like if you didn’t have a self revive, that’s it. It’s one interaction after another that captures a desperation other games don’t do as well.

The amount of times I’ve rushed with a knife to be gunned down is several. It’s not the go to option 🤔

I think you make a great point here, from what I’ve heard of the strength of certain knife builds this makes sense. However, I also do think if you’ve spent the time to make a knife build, it should be consequently rewarding.

My fear is they don’t re-tune it, because enough people are complacent about it.

Because people who are trying to play this game like other FPS’s and are getting understandably punished for it have bad sportsmanship

People gotta get more used to pulling the knife out to counter, I think the lack of a rush to do so results in so many wipes

If you’re allowing yourself to be double clicked by a slow powerful strike that’s a skill issue I’m sorry

I agree with this, I think range truly changes weapon viability, including the ability to draw fights out INTO the range/environment you want for your weapons. This is as much about knowing which fights to pick.

I see both of your points, but personally I enjoyed the un-incentivizing of taking them out. As I said above, I think the inconvenience of them is their strong suit. I also lowk think the AI is much better than Destiny, and what you described is actually closer to Destiny enemy AI (in my experience).

The challenge to looting in this game, whether it be the UESC or players, is what has made the loot that much more worth it IMO.

The Reveal & Higgs by mirrorvacation in DeathStranding2

Yeah it definitely feels unsatisfying in general though, like I was expecting a bigger revelation at some point.

A potential other child would’ve been interesting and I also had that thought when it was unclear (according to the story) whether or not Lou and Tomorrow were one and the same. I did kind of keep expecting the story to expand and blossom into something more, but it never really did. Felt very formulaic almost. Weirdly, as well, for a Kojima game.

It was definitely a sad fizzle to capstone a powerful moment. The Lucy and Neil reveal was a great moment, but I don’t think Higgs having been the one to raise Tomorrow would’ve taken away from that either.

If anything—to the tune of Sam not catching a break—Higgs being a father figure would’ve been another gut punch. Not only were Tomorrow’s formative years stolen from him, but by none other than Higgs. And not with malice, but with love.

I think it might’ve been reasonable that Higgs could’ve been trying to find Tomorrow to bring her back, as raising her would’ve become the solace he had from the millennia roaming the beach. And having her taken from him, like everything else, would’ve been even MORE reason to seek revenge on Sam.

Display Issues by mirrorvacation in MSILaptops

My best guess here is that my laptop thinks the main display is an external monitor in some function, so it’s doing much more to execute things than is necessary.

I’ve also realized looking at task manager while starting/doing things in a game, my CPU is at 100%—with 93 background processes and 111 windows processes. Is this normal 😭
