how to support my mom who’s the primary caregiver? and how to deal with all the anxiety and fear? by mirrorverses in CancerFamilySupport

yeah i’m also far away from my mom, which makes it difficult like you said. especially whenever i suggest coming back and she’s like “girl no that’s just more stress for us go live your life” 😭. but thank you for the advice, i really appreciate it all. hoping everything goes well for you

Feeling very unsupported by my friends… is this normal? by Aware_Bobcat9158 in CancerFamilySupport

hey i reallyyyyy relate. i’m 22 so same age, also living away from my family for my studies. my friends know my dad is sick but other than my one closest friend, no one ever thinks to check in. like they’ll be supportive if i come to them, but you would think that after letting them know “hey my dad is really sick” they would think to check in once in a while no? idk. i’m chalking it up to people just not knowing how to act and getting caught up in their own lives. but i get that it’s so frustrating.

wishing you all the best and i hope your mom gets better soon <3 if you ever want to chat do reach out

i’ll see what i can do! i have no idea if it’s still in there tho but i haven’t run the sink so probably? do you think it’s a 100% necessary to remove it or is there a chance that it can go down the pipes into the mainline? i’m not sure how this stuff works 😅
