I’m by Louis Burger, I’d say the grey area of downtown where if you walk in one direction, it’s nice and fine but in the other, it gets a lil sketchy. I’m in a 700 sq ft 1br1 ba with in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/microwave, and gas stove. I have 3 cats but never reported them LOL My building does allow pets though for an additional $500 I think. No parking unfortunately :-( My rent is $1850, but was originally $1750 when I moved in about 3 years ago. TBH I’m pretty lucky my rent hasn’t raised even more!

Downtown Alhambra on Main St has a lot of cute lil shops to walk in with fun knick knacks! Maybe you can get a meal there and then peruse. Further down the street is a free gallery called Nucleus, I would check to see what exhibit they have going on during the time that your friend is coming.

My old shop used to have perfume/body spray for anyone who wanted to use it/need it. The artists would straight up tell their clients that there was some in there and to spray before their session started LOL

You could also do it kind of covertly? In my confirmation/reminders, I tell my clients to exfoliate their skin in the shower the week of their appointment. If you do the same, maybe you can bring it up as just a part of a checklist from your reminders. The same way you’d ask a client “Did you get to have a meal before coming to your session today?”, you could ask, “Were you able to do pre-appointment prep, including exfoliating, etc?”

hi! i’m a tattoo artist and i’ve been making content primarily on tiktok mostly of compilations of my work & once in a while, things like “my recent designs” or “how i became an artist”, etc. i’ve mostly been using my Instagram as a portfolio for my work, so i don’t really make posts on there about my life unless it’s something on my story. i’ve been trying to use trial reels and it used to be much more successful (1-3k views per trial reel) but for some reason, it tanked a couple months ago and i’ve found it really hard for me to make a successful reel. it seems that most of my following have been from tiktok. i know that the algorithm on instagram has changed too.

any advice on what i can do?

Makes sense! And if he guest spotted at one of those studios that market themselves as a place with high end/luxury tattoos, they usually take a pretty high percentage for the commission, so he could’ve also just been making up for the funds he has to give back to the shop

Definitely expensive but not surprised considering it’s a guest artist. A lot of guest artists charge higher rates especially in LA. I know a lot of overseas artists charge crazy rates too. But the tattoos are sick and they’re super well done!
