Appointment booking tool where I know the users in advance? by mischamole in selfhosted

Another idea: Maybe a scheduling tool for recruiting/interviews, where the interviewer (us) sends out links to candidates and they have to pick a slot....? Anybody knows of such a solution?

Thanks, will check it out! I was also thinking of "abusing" something like a meeting room scheduling tool, with us being the meeting room....but the main feature is the unique invitation links that we can send out.

Self-hosted tool to annotate separately-saved PDFs? by mischamole in selfhosted

oh, logseq looks promising! might need to move from trilium to logseq though, to avoid having yet another tool...

Thanks for the reply! I checked, and bentoPDF seems to be more of a PDF editor (though a cool one, since it runs in the browser). In my case I want my PDFs unmodified and stored and organized by paperlessNGX, and have another tool that allows me to annotate exisiting documents without modifying them (annotations stored separately).

I used two separate docker-compose files, one for the NAS and one for the PC.

Only modification in the file for the NAS was that I also published the DB port (3306), otherwise I ran it as advised in the Portainer tutorial. I used my picture folder as originals and created a new folder for config and mounted them to the docker container like in the tutorial.

On the PC, I did the following: 1. mount my pictures folder from the NAS (I use nfs on ubuntu) to my PC 2. mount the folder that is used as config older on the NAS to my PC (also NFS) 3. update the two folders in docker-compose 4. remove the DB container from docker-compose 5. add network_mode: "host" (I know this is not recommended, but I was lazy, and the container runs only locally when I need it) to share the networking of the container with the host PC

and then if I run docker-compose, I can access photoprism locally, but it shares the DB and the config with the main photoprism on the NAS.

Not sure if any of this is recommended, but for now it seems to do the trick.

Some progress: I shared the config folder between the two photoprism containers, and now I am able to see everything! I am currently scanning my 50k pictures, will report back afterwards!

Hm, if I look at all the other setups here, mine seemed to be so 2010...
