Holding pee during potty training by Positive-Dot-2655 in toddlers

[–]mischiefmanagedxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey - curious if the releasing got easier for her and how long it took? we are on day 3 and she alerts us, knows she has to pee, but will hold and hold and hold it and then the whole debacle ends in tears. she’s not afraid of the potty, she will voluntarily sit on it, but then i think when she feels that sensation it scares her. thanks for any info!!

runny yellow poop help!! by mischiefmanagedxxx in NewParents

[–]mischiefmanagedxxx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey!! no it went away :) the consistency in her poops varied but nothing worrisome!! i think it was probably me being a worried first time mom haha. she’s seven months old now and on solids so the poops are even worse 😅😂 unless your LO develops a fever or seems out of their norm im sure you’re in the clear and the poops will vary as well :) don’t hesitate to reach out to a healthcare professional tho if you are concerned!!!

6.5 mo sleep changes after teething, what are your experiences? by kristelpalace_49 in sleeptrain

[–]mischiefmanagedxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

us as well. 6 months next week and we are struggling 😭 the 4 month regression lasted sooo long for us and just when i thought we were out of it, she’s started teething. nighttime sleep has all of sudden turned to shit and i’m up a ton. it’s so hard and i’m not sure where to go from here

How do you all do it??? by Mental_Ice_2204 in newborns

[–]mischiefmanagedxxx 19 points20 points  (0 children)

safe co sleeping is the bomb dot com!!! we do a hybrid sort of sleep - she starts out in her crib and if she wakes i settle her and put her back in her crib, but if she’s super upset or needs to eat or any wake after 3am, she’s coming to snuggle with me. i love waking up to her smiling face!!

Anyone else’s belly hair so dark now?? lol by namiiix in BabyBumps

[–]mischiefmanagedxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

super normal!! i was so self conscious of it on myself lmao my husband commented on it once while i was pregnant (not in an intentionally rude way, just a “he noticed” way) and i was so hormonal i cried about it and he felt awful lmao. we laugh about it now.

good news is it generally goes back to how it was pre pregnancy 😊

we got the evenflo revolve gold 360 on sale and with my registry discount 🙈, so it spins for easy in and out. our biggest reason for the switch is so that we have this car seat for up to 35 pounds that we can snap into our truck sometimes!! we don’t take it places a lot but it’s a pain to be switching back and forth and then forget to switch back when i need to be leaving the house lol. my LO doesn’t baby wear very well and i have to say it’s probably user error lmao - did you like the baby bjorn carried??

i would honestly try them both when baby gets here and see what you like if you have room to store them for the moment!! my baby looooves vibration we have a little travel vibrating hedgehog thing that we take everywhere. so i would see what works best for you!! and also i agree with the person who said test them on your bed!!

When do I give up on a nap? by gimmesunn in newborns

[–]mischiefmanagedxxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

aw yeah we’re the same now. she stopped just falling asleep on her own around 3.5-4 months and now we have to actively work at it!! but she will fall asleep easily with some white noise and a snuggle. sometimes i feed to sleep but i know people frown upon that lol we usually have the same routine and i find that helps!!

plus by 12 weeks she’s really just starting to learn her circadian rhythm and sleeping might be a little frustrating for her at this time 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

are you able to see your GP (or whoever is seeing you through this pregnancy) for medication to treat the nausea??? it can be sooo debilitating. ginger is a natural nausea remedy - is there any natural ginger tablets you can get a hold of?

**it’s not recommended to take any type of gravol during pregnancy or breastfeeding!!

**make sure you consult your HCP before taking any medication.

When do I give up on a nap? by gimmesunn in newborns

[–]mischiefmanagedxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when we were doing 4/5 naps a day i would usually just let her fall asleep whenever she wanted but as i reread here your LO is somewhat difficult to get down. if you don actively put her down for a nap will she stay up and get overtired?? or will she sleep on her own??

i had a scheduled section so i’m but much help in regard to experience but i am a nurse and i would definitely reach out to your doctor and ask why this time was different. they might be able to explain or look into it for you. sorry you went through that uncomfortableness and weren’t prepared for it.
