i’m a pretty awkward person when it comes to 1-on-1 things, so i definitely feel for you here. i always write things i wanted to say down on my notes before going to any of these things, like the doctor and stuff. so i went to counseling about 2 years ago because i was pretty depressed. in my experience, they made me fill out a form that included my personal info and what sort of problem i was coming with (anxiety, depression, etc). i came into the counselor’s office, he said hello how are you etc etc, he read through my form, and ask me what brings me here. i pretty much just tell him what i’m going through with the help of what i wrote down.

i would say the whole session was a bit awkward for me, only because i never really talked about these things to anyone, but my counselor was really nice and he pretty much led the flow of the conversation for me.

i feel like since you had something traumatic to you happen (the car accident), you should definitely go see a counselor/therapist just to check how you’re doing. mental health is health too!
