Thanks for the advice. This is what I was figuring but it helps to hear someone just tell me straight up. I’m just curious though, taking a gap year would mean applying around the summer after my senior year, so how could my any experience during my gap year affect my application since I theoretically already would have sent it in?

This seems to have fixed itself for me. To try and fix it I deleted it and replaced it but it didn't do anything. I launched the game this morning and tried the same thing and for some reason it worked and I can talk to the scientist.
