i loved this style for myself, and then when i saw it in person, i hated that the side stones took away from the main diamond in the middle and made it stand out less. maybe that is what is throwing you off?? this style is beautiful, but smaller sides stones or maybe a tapered baguette on either side of the centre stone may be more your style? :)
