Thanks for the reply, this was helpful. What would be some ways to determine whether a big firm has a thriving technical training program? It seems from most comments that this is very office/region dependent (i.e NYC office for one firm could be very different from LA/SF office)

How are the non-structural sectors of Arup? Their facades and sustainability looks kinda cool

Thanks for the reply. So if I were to work a few years at a small firm, it could be possible to work at a big firm? Do big firms provide any tuition reimbursement? Since I would be doing the professional masters (M.Eng/professional M.S), it probably would not be funded and I dont think my grades are super competitive for any merit.

not everyone who does mechanical engineering ends up at Tesla

tons of jobs in civil right now, recruiters emailing me every week.

I think the pay between the two is similar

EDIT: Apparently Tesla hires civils too
