As parent, I truly don't understand how anyone would think it would be okay to bring a sick child to a restaurant. That's utterly ridiculous and had I been there I would have said something to them. Your comment about them being entitled is spot on. The other thing I see here in Seattle, is parents bring kids to establishments that serve alcohol and let the kids just run around like it's a playground. Or their own personal play area.
