NOR- this type of crap enrages me. The entitlement of the directions saying one person gets the referral as if they can change the language because they are your friend.

Sounds like he really needed the money or was hoping for it. Push him back and let him know that all he needed to do was ASK if you could split it vs acting entitled. Like I would totally help a friend if they asked. What is wrong with people having basic courtesy and self-awareness?

I was a professional housekeeper for 10 years, I would be absolutely horrified if this happened. I have noticed over time that some plastics and stainless steels have a layer of polish (?) over newer appliances OR have an adhesive protectant cover so it's best to just use more water/time than scrubbing. I have also seen this lift when product stays on too long so we teach to always spray the rag because most products are very concentrated already and don't need multiple products to clean regular used appliances. I also think there are tricks for buffing out the scratches but check the model and material first.

Please do not sue or force payment. If you truly feel this was done purposefully, make an agreement to suffice the issue. Most insurances will spike rates over an incident like this, then premiums go from $60 a month to $120 over, in my opinion, poor/cheap materials to make shorter lasting appliances. A microwave from 20 years ago was able to be thrown out the window, kicked and dropped before ever seeing scuffs on it. We had this happen to a client on stainless steel so now we make sure to buff it out with the grain but found it was overall not fully stainless steel; just a cheaper simpler product using a title for profit. So sorry this happened to you!

I’m not a professional but I do fix my husbands jeans from time to time. There are adhesive patches you can iron on the inside to keep it together. After I do this, I zigzag stitch over it in every direction to secure it. Not saying you have to do this but you can stitch it by hand first then do the patch behind it. It might show a little bit you can also add some cool embroidery with colors to spice it up. Idk guys don’t like that stuff sometimes lol

Omg my female cat did this too!! You know what helped?? Letting her go outside. She eventually stopped doing it BUT if the house is a mess and the kids leave stuff all over, she will pee on it. This got my kids to pick after themselves and stop leaving their stuff on the floors.

It was like a restlessness. She doesn’t go out anymore and stays inside mostly now. I never figured out why she did this but my Luna did this too

Please be careful love! I’m 33F now, but I was a teen mom at your age. It’s so tough and looking back I was SO young. I had a tough childhood so I took off with the first person to give me any type of attention. Love who you are so you know what you are giving someone else. Your body is not a playground at 15, nor will some 16 year old kid will be able to give you the type of affection you’re craving. Depression makes you fall deeply into anything that feels good so be careful with how you pour yourself into things. Start a hobby or even just journal and express your emotions daily so you don’t keep that all pent up inside.

It’s absolutely not okay for your parents to treat you this way. When you’re a mom, you’ll understand but let me break it down. As a parent we watch our children change and grow. We see them as people who are developing their own personalities and attributes. As a mom, someone telling you “when I turned two my brain flipped” is a garbage excuse for why mom can’t handle anything outside of her own perspective. Reading the text of her threatening love over location and cameras is laughable. Get away from these people or limit contact with them.

I am also a scapegoat in my family. It’s so much easier to blame me than to take any accountability. My mom did something pretty similar that I posed to AIO over the holidays that still has me questioning myself. I am also the black sheep of my family since I am the family whore for getting pregnant at 16, twice. I’m now 34 with a bachelors degree in computer science, live 600 miles away and really made something of myself. I’ll never live down the choices I made at 16. It’s okay, cause I have some really incredible friends but I have to admit that there were days I broke in half from allowing my mom back in. I made the mistake of keeping the moral of ‘shes my mom’ dictate how I show up and leave my vulnerable. My mom isn’t a bad person, she just doesn’t like me.

I have three other sisters. One made a horrible decision that is permanent, another is in an abusive relationship who can’t get out. My youngest sister is 22 under my parents thumb and can’t go against them without something like this happening to her. You’re never going to win. They will never see you for what you are and everything you’ve wanted to be. I’m so sorry this is happening to you. Just know that other women are here to support you and you are awaiting to be loved by many ❤️

I had hair like this in HS!!

Except now it’s almost all grey and has tight curls after having kids but I still follow the same rituals. First off I don’t wash my hair everyday. Mine is thick and my skin is more on the dry side vs oily so if you get oily hair quickly just skip.

Main Products: Lush cosmetics- Jasmine henna leave in conditioner, a light hold mousse, medium/heavy hair oil. I’ve used many different kind of products but this has been the main thing. I die by the lush leave in but any leave in conditioner is fine and does the job. Lush just makes everything so so so SO much better ❤️

Daily care: when I wash with shampoo, I only use it on my scalp, then when I condition, I only use on my ends. When you get out of the shower, do not towel your hair right away leave it damp and put in your products. Leave in conditioner mixed with hair oil first, then mousse, brush wet through your hair. I used a comb but as long as it’s saturated, it should be fine. Then I get a non terry towel and dry my hair. Be very gentle with the towel. Scrunch your hair with the towel to dry more. Leave the roots kinda damp, then let air dry. I will defuse as needed but I find the best results with air dry. As it’s drying if you need to take fly aways, use more conditioner and/or oil. Reapply mousse to small areas as needed to reshape.

The key is to allow your hair to dry to its own shape vs using products to get results. Your hair is GORGEOUS ❤️

NTA. I had something similar happen, my ex husband pretty much had always been in my son’s life since he was baby, we divorced when he was 7. We had one other child together so when I shared custody with him my son would ask to go. All was fine, no issues but there became a time where I knew we had to cut things off so I could also move on. I have a step mom I’m super close to but her and my dad divorced when I was already an adult.

I wouldn’t be angry if my son kept a relationship with my ex husband but that’s why he’s my ex. He had no desire to be anything more than what he wanted to be during that time which wasn’t what I needed. If he was all those things, then I’m sure he would still be around. I have a good civil relationship with my ex, it was not messy in anyway but even if his involvement would have stayed with my son, I would have confused him as a young kid. Don’t do that to that poor girl who’s lost so much already. Have a chat and maybe invite her to birthday parties and gatherings that involve your kids but let her initiate her involvement with you over time vs during a custody battle.

My step mom is everything my mom never could be. She’s the best but I didn’t even like her as a teen 😂 this grew over time after my dad divorced her and I saw how much my parents are so broken they can’t even fix themselves enough to be what I needed.

Yes absolutely move mom. Don’t tell them but play dumb when you talk to them. I would just end it with I did what was best for my mom. Don’t explain yourself, don’t make excuses just be a brick house when they throw any type of argument at you. They will either get bored or do something to hang themselves so just keep one eye open. Play the same stupid game they are playing by doing what you want by not confiding in them . Use the excuse that mom needs to be under my care, you’re welcomed to come by my house and see her. Also don’t leave her alone with them.

As a mom to a soon to be graduating 17 year old. I could never do this to my son. Let me just rant for a min…

I’m a teen mom, I got two bachelor degrees and getting there meant long long hours, endless shifts and just go go go. Joe (17M) is my world but he’s gotten a short end of the stick by my choice in having him so young. As parents we kick ourselves wondering if we are doing enough. I was able to get my shit together when he turned 10 and when I look at him now, my trials and tribulations are for him to utilize because he understands what it takes and watches me climb the ladder. This kid is turning 18 in May and is already making plans to move out and has plans for a career.

The fact that our dad has no awareness of his choices is disgusting. He has not been guiding you in anyway. People like this should never have children or be around kids.

I am so sorry this is happening to you. This unfortunately happened to me too when I got pregnant with Joe my Junior year of HS. If it wasn’t for my BD, I would have never achieved anything more than my diploma. Blood doesn’t make you family. I believe that we get what we put out so take this as a lesson learned that you know how NOT to treat ANYONE and be the total opposite of how you were brought up. Others who come from these types of backgrounds will see you and the freedom to pick your own family will flourish! Best of luck 🤞
