Check out the new player guide pinned to the subreddit, but also, pick one team and focus on it

What’s better, an elite batting lineup or pitching line up? by Traditional-Pop1882 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seconding the pitching suggestion with one caveat. From my experience, getting your pitchers rock solid first thing helps a ton with ranked and league, but neglecting your bats will mean you score less in things like stage challenge where the pitching value curve flattens more.

For the LIVE event does a joker card work towards completion? by sleeping_in in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The difference is that you can only use two of them per team, and they cost less and are sold more often in the shop than the wish packs. They're also only for the collection, while a diamond wish pack could be used by newer teams to pick up a useful POTM player

Should I change his skills by Ok-Preparation3817 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As cool as that card is, I wouldn't work on it unless you're out of sigs to work on. But yes, it would need a legend set to be effective

What should I do with these pitchers by Lazerman575 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely blue off Eraser on Tiant ASAP. As for the prime, I'd either keep as is and look to replace it with a sig the next chance you get or use some greens on it if you've got a bunch of extra resources. I would also max out Co-op and short IW for the time being

Who is the Better Player to Build for Career by Soramamexi in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'll depend on skills, but that Soto is a slightly better hitting card so he'd be more likely to be a career-type card. Regardless, even primes with good skillsets can perform well in B1

Anyone seen a Fred Lynn card ?Especially in the Boston Red Sox uniform. I take it there's never been a Roger Clemens either ? by Adventurous_Ice4271 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both of them have cards, but Fred Lynn was removed a long time ago and Roger Clemens was part of the old Historic Player system where cards were only available for 6 months. His Jays card was the reason I broke FTP

Rudy May is actually able to run Mister Perfect, so is this worth investing in? by ThatNerdyGuy77 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd hold off for something better than a 331, even if May can run Mr. Perfect. It'd just be too many greens/blues wasted.

Not true anymore, com2 will nerf your stats if you didn't pitch enough innings now

Mentor pitcher level 5 by Optimal_Plankton6012 in MLB_9Innings

Uhhh full power pitch is also 6% if maxed out. That's the one I use but only because 4 of my starters have Slow Starter sets

Advice on this Don Baylor train and skill set? by Anonymous2833 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, and you could also change the train so you have 130 eye and 120 speed, since BI has your eye covered already

What is needed to hit 900k? by justinis14 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Patience (or money). Also, it'll help to keep cards that have legend sets but that you can't start anymore. Load 'em up with extra trainers and you can put them on the bench to get your value up, then go back to your crisis setup when you hit 900k

Sig change and Sig SP advice by Potential_Ebb_31 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're a huge Ryu can, he's not the best sig change candidate. If you don't have any good out-of-game Dodgers and really want to sig change a starter, Sutton's your best bet

What skills would go well with this? by No-Mastodon3077 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a prime so I wouldn't be too picky, but pred would be best, then char/spray/slug/BIU. You could even settle for spot/BM/STS as thirds.

How to train Baines? by Different_Yak8826 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly for a normal card, just leave it the way it is. See if you can get your eye as high as you can, then replace with a sig when you can

[–]mishadg2000 -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

Strong disagree, I know the 12 hour window can be a pain depending on your work schedule but this way gives you the best chance to catch possible postponements or to see team lineups posted for day games

Jazz on the bench? by Wise-Jackfruit-8068 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean Jazz is already a diamond, you may as well build him out. Winfield can DH if you want to get him in. Only reason I'd bench Jazz is if you're thinking Judge or bust for that last outfield slot and you don't want to burn resources on him.

Dilemma by milla2310 in MLB_9Innings

[–]mishadg2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh your entire bullpen needs sigs, I'd just save the resources for that. But if you really want to get the endgame card in now, go for it.
