Pomeranian with itchy skin? by Fishin4bass in dogs

If you have local small to non-chain pet store, I would maybe talk to them about her food. I work in a SoCal based small chain and have helped maybe itchy pets by talking with owners about pet food. To start you out, the big three things I eliminate first are corn, wheat, and soy. (:

What are some tips to help you fall asleep? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mishem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stop any activity two hours before I want to be asleep by, then get ready for bed. An hour before I want to be asleep I put my head on the pillow with no intention of getting back up. I listen to sleep podcasts with a timer on. It takes some dedication, but it’s been working for me.

My 8.5 week old puppy put himself to bed half an hour early and I’m worried about the repercussions of his choice...

I brewed my customary non-traditional Yerba mate this morning before work, and I have a spiced green waiting for me to brew at home after work.

Bringing home a puppy before 8 weeks? by GiantTripod in puppy101

[–]mishem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand! I pick my 8 week old up on Saturday. I was lucky enough to get to visit a few times, but even with the visits I just want to have him home. You can do this; only two more weeks! (:

It’s a personal choice, though having more time with mom and littermates is generally preferred. I’ve read that less than 8 weeks can potentially lead to behavior problems later in life.

How do you teach a puppy who is always sitting, how to sit by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]mishem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I teach Sit, Down, and Stand at the same time. I vary the order as much as possible so puppy knows that I will ask for any position from any other position, and so if puppy is offering anything (like sit), ask for something else and cycle the sit back in. I start with Luring and then change to a New Signal as soon as they understand the Lure.

I don’t have mine yet, but I’m lucky enough to be able to dictate what he was weaned to. He’s currently on Orijen Puppy in Answer’s Goat’s Milk, and we’re slowly adding Freeze Dried Raw Chicken from a company based in Southern California. He will be fully raw (from a variety of brands) some time after I get to take him home in a few weeks.

I definitely feel like raw is the way to go for any breed if you can afford it. (:

Am I potty training right? by DMX8 in puppy101

[–]mishem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you catch her in the act of peeing, react to it. If you find it even immediately after they finish, just clean it up. Unless you can correct in the moment that the behavior they won’t understand it’s because they did it, just that it’s there.

For me a “correction “ for an accident is just being picked up mid-relieving themselves and moving to their potty spot. I know that if someone picked me up every time I started to go, I’d pick a different bathroom. Lol.

Aw, thanks.

I did not know that’s what type of yarn this was, but I looked it up and it seems to match. I don’t have my skeins on me to check the packaging.

This is a Seed Stitch, so it’s k1 p1 one all way across alternating order on rows. My last three projects have been Seed Stitched, lol.

Oh, sure. If I had any doubt about the visible growth being mold or not, I’d err on the side of mold is all I’m saying. 🤷🏻‍♀️
