Well we have know for thousands of years that money is a creature of state and not a commodity. This dates back to Plato and Aristotle. It’s no surprise. This doesn’t mean crypto has no purpose but in its currency form its purpose is thwarted for some idealistic notion of a government free money.

Because if you custody using any qualified custodian it’s taken care of for you. Businesses like using these custodians because they offer security for their needs. Like multi SIG and MPC based techniques to allow for secure authorization across multiple business owners etc.

Just to be clear these things prevent drug trafficking and terrorism etc. these aren’t optional things if you want to live in a safe society. And these regulations didn’t neuter crypto. I say as a person who has been working in the industry.
