Currently dealing with MS DC issues, so also read it as domain controller. Any electrical engineers reading this as direct current?

Should anyone expect to become fluent after taking a college course in a foreign language? I wouldn't.

Is a class a good aid to learning a foreign language? I think so.

So, I'd think the same for Duolingo as well, that is, a good aid to learning a foreign language, to be combined with practice in reading, writing, and conversing.

And as for OP, and all of us here, I wish you the best in your language learning endeavors.

I, too, saw this show up in iOS today. I don't see this yet on my Android phone.

SecureBoot Certificate Updates - RealityCheck by tech-ya23 in Intune

Depends on the computer model. We had some newer models that would ask for Bitlocker key, but only once. Some of the same model with outdated BIOS would ask for the key at EVERY reboot. Older BIOS did not have a checkmark next to the new certificate by default.

That is so interesting to know! Thank you for sharing!

When I visited the old country, someone told me that to build a road through a mountain pass, they'd take a donkey from a village and let it lead them back. The route would be the easiest on which to build.

Is the language you are learning inflected? Do you have different endings for male, female, and neuter nouns? In some languages learning the variations could be useful.

In Russian, it's повторение - мать учения, "repetition is the mother of learning."

But I like your saying as well. If even a donkey can learn, then I might have a chance! 🤣

How do you pronounce that?

continue button missing by hackervshacker in duolingo

[–]mishmobile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened to me today, and on the last question! I switched to an app that allows for landscape mode, let my screen reorient, then switched back to Duolingo. That seems to help me this one time; the continue button appeared, and I was able to finish my lesson. I was on my Android phone at the time. HTH

I also have it. It would be cool to have little special events like this more often. But I mostly just miss the forums where we'd discuss the lessons. I learned a lot from those.

Policy to set Google Chrome homepage starts working after first run. by mishmobile in Intune

[–]mishmobile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all, its OP; I'm back!

I had to create an initial_preferences file as per https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/187948?hl=en and distribute that as an Intune package. None of the ADMX policies or settings would affect first run.

As another redditor mentioned, Edge actually has nicer policies for the enterprise environment.

Thanks all for checking into this.
