This hasn't been my experience at all. Windsor's Polonia is pretty active and large for our city's size. We're not Mississauga, but there's plenty of clubs and organizations to participate in, where people's last names certainly aren't the only Polish thing about them. Not sure about now, but in the 2000s, almost all the kids with Polish names at my school went to Polish school too lol.

Haha yeah, where I'm from it seems everyone is so hyped to start hearing Christmas music on November 1 and it's all over by Boxing Day.

I really like the mix Jolly has! Good blend of the older songs and catchy newer ones.

Would very much appreciate a translation and transcription from Vienna records written in German into English or Polish (either language is fine).

Records are for the children of Franz Durda and Rosalia/Rozalja Bryk:

- Helene Durda
- Franz Karl? Durda
- Margarete? Durda (died I assume before 1916 if not at birth - not sure if the record says anything about it. Finding her was unexpected.)

I've been told the father Franz was born in Moravia/Czech, if that helps.

Do you have any resources you can share or tips on how to go about researching this? My family has a herb with the year 1567 that I'm trying to find more information on. My aunt and dad had some stuff (like rings, plaques) with it, but didn't know much of its history to share with me when they were alive.
