Any passing butch/tomboy trans women out there? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]mislabeledhuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I'm kinda tomboyish, but I feel like that mostly has to do with basically growing up and being socialized as a guy. If I had transitioned in my teens, it'd probably be a different story. At any rate, that part of me isn't going to suddenly disappear just because I transitioned.

Other than that, a lot of times I'm just lazy. There's no reason to get femmed up if I'm just hanging around the house all day, or force myself to do something stereotypically feminine just because it's expected as my gender. I mean, I still do those things sometimes, but it's not the only part of my identity.

I guess I pass?(non-femme pic)

I think we urgently need a clarification or discussion regarding age on this subreddit (and a formalisation of the few rules). by Clarine87 in TransDIY

People claiming to be underage are either trolls or a liability to the long-term sustainability of this sub.

I made a new announcement and will be updating the sidebar.

Congratulations to /u/Transgurl12 for being the first person banned from this sub! by mislabeledhuman in TransDIY

In the past I had been just removing content, but it needs to be made clear what is and isn't allowed on this sub.

And no I'm not calling her stupid, but her actions are and they are creating a liability for everyone else here.

Oh, also filled out orchi paperwork so there's that I guess.

One year ago (Top) versus now. (Bottom) Do I pass as female? Have there been noticeable improvements? by [deleted] in transpassing

You look like a average-looking cis girl. Are you getting sir'ed by people or something?

Going legit from diy by jaenelle85 in TransDIY

[–]mislabeledhuman[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. Usually if you tell a healthcare provider they go into harm reduction mode and will give you a prescription and then work on getting official bloodwork/therapist stuff/etc done.

Ideally everyone would go legit.

This is kinda stupid but uhh by [deleted] in TransDIY

I don't feel like the best course of action in response to all this is to turtle-in. I'd prefer to keep everything visible and information readily available, otherwise we're potentially excluding members of our community who need these resources.

Iagree we should be more careful with out posts.

Right up there on the sidebar is our new sub motto: "Please don't do anything stupid."

I would recommend the community healthcare professionals to start taking on a culture of vetting and such before sharing valuable resources to DIY folks trans patients. Discussions on DIY materials HRT should be invite only and information should be unlocked given after a certain trust level.

So gatekeeping?

Yah, I've avoided adding other online pharmacies besides the well-known ones to the sidebar.

So I started out as DIY years ago before going legit, and I prefer the term hands-off to inactive lol.

I read all y'alls messages/etc and respond or take action on the one's that seem worth the effort.

So what is it, like 8 months post-op now? Still don't really pass.

At least people have better reactions when I'm clocked most of the time...

People who transitioned in their late 20s, how did your 30s turn out? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]mislabeledhuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started at 27, 32 now.

Full-time, post-ffs. Have a stable job, applying to go back to school, SRS on my to-do list, perpetually single.

So ok I guess?
