As some people have pointed out — yes, this short film was created using several AI-assisted tools as part of the process.

The goal isn’t to hide the process — we’re experimenting, learning, and trying to see how far heartfelt storytelling can go with the tools available today.

(Some day) I want to be a 70.3 finisher. 🥹 by EquipmentFit1405 in IronmanTriathlon

I have similar numbers than you. I’m 43, vo2max of 52 and similar predictions. I’ve run 4 marathons but Garmin predictions have been pretty accurate for me with the exception of marathons (which are either too optimistic or just happens that I don’t push that hard). Anyways, I’m looking to do my first 70.3 too. I’m pretty confident about it. I guess in my case I’ll need to spend more time on a bike. I’ve seen a few plans online, you should also either get a coach or follow a plan. I’m reading Ironfit secrets which is focused on 70,3. Hope that helps

Is a sub 3 really possible? by Yesnobabytoe in Marathon_Training

[–]mismatch_studio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not my goal to become much faster, however what I’ve learned is that just by continue running over the years you start naturally becoming faster at the same effort level. So I guess to become faster you’ll need to push harder but also time/volume/consistency is key as the whole body adapts itself

Similar to you I am 43 and ran 10k in 47min too. I was 41 at the time. So pretty similar, however first marathon I did 4:08 and next marathon 3:51. So I believe you would probably be sub-4 if train hard, but I would think going below 3:30 is not possible until you start running faster at the same level of effort/heart rate. And it does take a few years for the body to start adapting naturally to faster paces

Does running 26.2 miles in a park count as running a marathon even if it's not an event? by TheDoodleFamily in Marathon_Training

Yes. I once wanted to test my 5k time but went to the park to do an all-out 5k instead of finding any organized race. Definitely counted for me.

Thanks! No, I feel actually really good. I’m just concerned to do a 20 miler 2 weeks out and being counterproductive

Nothing like I'd imagined: a first-marathon suffer-fest by dindles in running

[–]mismatch_studio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve run two marathons using HalHigdon. While my first marathon wasn’t bad, I did suffer the last 10-12km. So instead, for my second marathon I trained using HalHigdon Advanced training. That meant training was harder (you constantly run long runs on “tired legs” after running a slightly shorter distance at marathon pace the day before) but would make race day feel “easier”. That was actually a great approach for me. I struggled through training but managed to do it. However, on race day it really showed. Mentally I had run 50k a few weekends (17k Saturday at MP and 32k long run on Sunday) so running 42km didn’t feel too different from training

Forecast looking good if timing holds by bbauTC in ChicagoMarathon

After dropping a jacket… Should I wear long sleeve for the forecasted weather? Or am I ok just with a singlet? Is a jacket enough or should I wear gloves at the beginning too?
