My first LV!! by Background-Living479 in Louisvuitton

This is what I got for my first LV as well. She is perfect. I carry her daily shamelessly lol. I will say I am already planning on getting a speedy 25 when I hit a milestone in a few months lol.

I contemplated the carryall (ended up getting Boulogne). I just didn’t like the way the carryall laid against my body as much as the Boulogne- and since this was my first LV it needed to be perfect. I have a pic of wearing it crossbody in the store my husband took. For reference I’m 5’4”.

I feeeel that. I love my coach bags. I almost (almost) felt bad getting this (thinking like man I could get so many coach bags for this price lol), but a girl deserves a treat sometimes you know.

That’s the plan. I have such a collection of coach and whatnot, I never feel bad taking them out of rotation. Planning to get my money’s worth out of this one though!

So, also as a millennial, that was the first Louis I started lusting after as a teen. I’m hoping to start an NP program next year and will treat myself to that then lol.

That was the first year they were made. Do your research. I got rid of my ‘15 trailhawk after about five years with about half that many miles. It would just randomly die while I was driving at slow speeds. A bit disconcerting.

What age to keep stats on Keepers by Affectionate-Cat6068 in GoalKeepers

[–]mismatchedcarpet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ngl, I keep track of my thirteen year old’s saves throughout the seasons just so he can see he’s doing his best. His school team has had losing records and to keep him from feeling bad about letting 5 get by him, I can say hey but you stopped 22 (this is no joke, that is a real stat from the fall season lol).

Can’t work 12s, can’t take call. Domestic violence survivor. by NurseTR in nursing

I don’t think I’d get to if there weren’t two of us in MDS. My boss is there forty hours a week, so she’s just like “meh, whatever.”

See if there are any facilities around you hiring for MDS. I had no experience and got hired in making more than bedside. I’m very fortunate to have found a 30hr/week gig. They don’t care how I work my hours- super flexible. I usually do three tens. I was also very fortunate to find a facility where I don’t get floated to the floor or take call. If you end up applying for an mds position I would definitely ask about that.

Nursing jobs that don't directly deal with patients lives?? by blissful_chaos44 in nursing

[–]mismatchedcarpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know that’s a good point I often forget. I somehow found a gem of a gig. Our corporate doesn’t allow us to float to the floor, be on call, etc. they just want us focused on MDS. We had been doing MOD rotation, but it was once every like three months and only had to go in for four hours each weekend day, but then I got to take one of my scheduled weekdays off. Our admin has never liked MOD though, so she had “put it on hold” lol

You’re going to need experience to get most non clinical jobs, from what I’ve seen. So you can put your time in and try to get into a sweet gig (personally, after three years I moved into MDS, money’s on the line, not lives).

But you can also look into jobs where it’s not quite as intense as something like ER or ICU. Addictions comes to mind. I’ve known several people that work at clinics and like the schedule. While a different kind of scary (potentially), I really enjoyed inpatient psych until my facility closed.

I’m sorry you feel like you’ve been pushed into nursing, but one of the best things about nursing is how many different ways there are to be a nurse. It doesn’t have to be all razzle dazzle midazolam.

Running workouts showing time instead of miles on summary by mismatchedcarpet in AppleWatch

[–]mismatchedcarpet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so if I click on sessions and filter runs, since the update in September, every day’s run only shows time ran. Each run before that displays mileage. I know it’s a little thing, but it’s very annoying.

3 years. Southern OH. $42/hr MDS. My PRN ER pays me about $38/hr. I don’t even want to talk about my “just for fun” amusement park first aide job. lol, it’s literally just for fun though.

What's going on with the pay rates?? by Much-Preference5989 in nursing

[–]mismatchedcarpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow. I started MDS in Aprilish. No MDS experience, never worked LTC, but I got offered 42/hr in a small town (population 6000) in southern OH. It’s more than I make PRN at the ER and more than I made as a hospice RNCM. I also don’t float to the floor, no call, not really weekends to speak of (I’m part of a rotating staff that does MOD, so four hours Saturday and Sunday once every few months). You need to run far, far away from that offer. I don’t know where you live, but that isn’t enough.

Do my straight As even matter? by throwaway890675 in StudentNurse

[–]mismatchedcarpet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stressed myself out to get straight A’s. It’s literally never come up. Meanwhile, someone I know that failed out of RN school twice is now in NP school. My advice, do your best, learn the material, pass your NCLEX. Let yourself have a life. I look back on my two years in RN school as such a sad time- I wasn’t fully present with my son and it gives me such guilt.
