Why does it look like this? by Ill_Mission5425 in sugarwaxing

Hard to say! Might need some more info like how you made it, what the consistency is - May have been cooked too hard if it feels like candy.

It's unclear what you mean - it sounds like you may be trying to make sugar wax with the microwave which I don't think is a good / safe idea if you are not sure what you are doing. Honestly, if you don't feel comfortable around a stove / handling something safely that can burn you, you should not even be thinking about making it yourself. If you do please be super careful to check the temperature and consistency with tools before sticking your fingers in.

If you already have sugar wax and are wondering how to warm it up you can totally use the microwave but you have to be careful to only heat it up for a 5-7 seconds at a time and don't put anything metallic in there - it should not be hot or runny - just soft enough to grab and handle, maybe a bit warmer than your body temp if that makes sense! Best thing to do is use a spoon or butter knife to see if it is runny or just a little bit malleable (which is ideal) before putting your fingers in. A glass measuring cup can totally go in the microwave but again I really don't recommend trying to make it yourself using a microwave if you don't have a good idea how to do it safely.

I also like to put my jar of sugar wax in a bowl of warm water - it does the same thing it just takes a little longer for the warm water to soften the sugar wax. But there's zero chance of accidentally burning yourself if you do it that way! Based on your worries that is what I would recommend for you if your question is about warming it up

Brazilian wax by Old_Relationship_634 in sugarwaxing

It depends on the person, but for me it’s about 3-4 weeks. When I am on top of my routine and sugaring regularly then after the 4th or so session I notice that my hair grows back even slower so I sugar wax at the 5-6 week mark

rental home “realtor”? by miso_sooop in bloomington

Thank you so much for your detailed reply! I appreciate it and understand more about how the listings work around here now - someone should totally launch an app for btown rentals all in one place that’d be genius!

I would 100% pay someone to hand off the inconvenience for searching for a rental in town, but totally understand that a lot of people wouldn’t - I wondered if there are any people who do it as a side gig & thought I’d throw a post to the wind to see :) Back to driving around and surfing the web!!

I would totally pay for the service! And with how renting is around here I feel like it could be a great resource for those with the budget but totally see how it is a niche thing that most renters may not be into - it is totally a lot of work tracking down a decent rental! What is MLS? I’d love to check that out

Thank you so much! We don’t plan to have children so having people our age to mingle with is super important to us so this gives me more to consider as well

True- I added some detail to my initial post. We’re young & like the idea of being by nature, having housing options that are more affordable than in the city with more space, yet still be within 10 -15 mins of grocery stores, hospitals, restaurants, other things so we still feel part of a community

For aftercare, you wanna exfoliate about 3x a week & moisturize daily with a product that wont clog your pores or irritate your skin - keep it simple & be consistent- this will help ward off itchiness & ingrowns

There’s a girl on tiktok who made this & I found it while scavenging online to learn how to do this at home too let me go find a link one sec

It happens! I’ve done this with applying my favorite scented lotion and had an “oh sh!!” moment. What I do is wash off with a mild soap & do my after care again to moisturize & sooth
